Yes, I agree. I asked her previous owner if I could get her at 12 weeks but that was not an option allotted to me 🤷🏽♀️ unfortunately. But now Lily is in a loving, supportive home 💗 updates soon 😉

Yes, you can feed them milk. But not the type of milk that humans drink. Not from a cow because it will give them a tummy ache. If you happen to adopt a kitten before it's fully weaned, you can buy the kitty milk formula at PetSmart or Petco. They sell the powder mixture, you put it in a bottle with water and feed it to them.
Actually you can buy formula milk from pet stores like Petco and PetSmart that's safe for kittens to drink instead of their mother's milk. There are a lot of stray and abandoned kittens in shelters and that's typically what they use to give younger kitten's that need a supplement to their absentee mother's milk.
Absolutely adorable. One thing in correction though, she may be requiring extra attention now (as she should as a kitten), as she grows they become more independent. Definitely more self sufficient than dogs. This doesn’t mean to leave her by herself (more than a day) or ignore her. Fresh water and nutritious food, play toys, a seat by the window, a clean litter box and one on one time is very important of course. Remember, they see you as a parent and you are all they have. Enjoy your new kitty. Again, she is super adorable.

Their personalities are very distinct and they all act differently. I'm closing on fifty and have had cats my entire life and they have always been the best friends I've had.

a very good and logical rule. look at this kitten - she was taken from mom while still being fed only with moms milk. and she was not eating solid food yet! you cant cut it off that drastically. the mom cat will gradually teach her kittens to eat solid food in a week or two
@@labdo4882 In Sweden it’s part of the Animal Welfare Act, so it’s not only a rule, it’s the law, so (in Sweden) it’s literally a crime to take kittens from their mother before the age of 12 weeks.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GETTING A KITTEN! I just adopted a kitten and she is sooo cute. One thing I wish I had known is that it’s best to bring home a pair of kittens rather than just one if they are under 6 months (unless you already have have young cat playmate for the new kitten). It prevents single kitten syndrome - depression, loneliness when no one is around, playmates help so you don’t need to spend 24/7 keeping them busy (they require around the clock time and energy!), and it helps them to grow into gentler and more social adults. Please do your research before getting just one kitten! They are so cute but a hand full and there’s more to their psychology than playing and cuddling with them. I wish the shelters would require an education for those who have not previously been a cat or dog owner so owners can be better prepared on the different types of behavior and psychology behind our furry babies.
Everyone doesn't have a bunch of money to get two cats. Shelters are overwhelmed with kittens who need homes so they're not going to require two cats be adopted on none. That makes no sense.
100% agree. 2 cats don’t cost that much more than one, and it is very cruel to 1) Take a kitten away from its mum at 6 weeks old. 2) Keep a kitten alone, rather than with a playmate. People need to inform themselves well before getting pets as if they were toys.

@@DestinyDiamond I fostered two kittens who were left alone by their mother and both were getting thrashed by other alley cats on my birthday and it got me thinking I can never have a child of my own if these kittens die on my hand. I went full-scale parents with both of them and it was all they required at that time. Luckily, they both got better and had a good life with me and one of them adopted by someone caring and sweet and the other one had a wonderful family of her own. Now I don't want to make family of my own. 😂Anyways, I am sure your kitty will change a lot of perspectives in your life in a positive way. Sorry for my bad English and long comment.
Omg this reminds me of the time we got my boyfriends cat as a graduation gift from his mom back in June. We named her Joy and got her at 8 weeks off a farm. She’s a little diva now getting into literally everything, he has a dog and another cat and she gets along with the dog decently which was good. She is a Manx cat super cute and still small even though he has had her for 4 and a half months. That’s like the highlight of my day whenever I go over to his place.
She is a beauty!! I also found two kittens which they have grown to be two beautiful and very well behaved 1 year old cats. Cats are the most loving animals. 💕💕
Ideally, you should adopt two so they can occupy each other’s need for constant stimulation, especially with rough play, which is difficult for most owners to accomplish. Something to think about, and hopefully do!
This video is so cute and congrats on being a kitten mom! One tip is to not let her play with your fingers and bite them (like in the last part of the video) because she'll think your fingers are a toy and get in the habit of biting them. It's super cute but when she gets older and has sharper teeth it'll hurt.

I've taken in kittens before and it would break my heart when I would watch my kitten play ALONE because he was the only cat in the house so I went and got another kitten so he would have a partner to play with and man, that was the best thing that I could of done for him. They played so hard that they would knock themselves out from playing so hard. My advice to people with pets, don't just get ONE get 2 because animals are like people and they get lonely too. I almost cried when I saw how much my kitty enjoyed his new partner. God bless all of you who take in a pet and give it a home. Thank you for this video it was a great story. 👍
My sister inlaw volunteers for a cat shelter. She received two abandoned Manx kittens. The first weeks were round the clock feeding. Five years on, they're grown BUT they both trt to fit inside their kitten bed like yours.

I adopted a senior cat that was abandoned at the shelter. I got most of the cat stuff as a Christmas gift - except toys . The cat which (was named Kitty ) hid under my bed for 5 weeks but turned into a beautiful great cat. I too was a dog person. Good for you!

Can you help me to adopt a kitten plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
PLEASE READ BEFORE GETTING A KITTEN! I just adopted a kitten and she is sooo cute. One thing I wish I had known is that it’s best to bring home a pair of kittens rather than just one if they are under 6 months (unless you already have have young cat playmate for the new kitten). It prevents single kitten syndrome - depression, loneliness when no one is around, playmates help so you don’t need to spend 24/7 keeping them busy (they require around the clock time and energy!), and it helps them to grow into gentler and more social adults. Please do your research before getting just one kitten! They are so cute but a hand full and there’s more to their psychology than playing and cuddling with them. I wish the shelters would require an education for those who have not previously been a cat or dog owner so owners can be better prepared on the different types of behavior and psychology behind our furry babies.
Everyone doesn't have a bunch of money to get two cats. Shelters are overwhelmed with kittens who need homes so they're not going to require two cats be adopted on none. That makes no sense.
100% agree. 2 cats don’t cost that much more than one, and it is very cruel to 1) Take a kitten away from its mum at 6 weeks old. 2) Keep a kitten alone, rather than with a playmate. People need to inform themselves well before getting pets as if they were toys.

@@DestinyDiamond I fostered two kittens who were left alone by their mother and both were getting thrashed by other alley cats on my birthday and it got me thinking I can never have a child of my own if these kittens die on my hand. I went full-scale parents with both of them and it was all they required at that time. Luckily, they both got better and had a good life with me and one of them adopted by someone caring and sweet and the other one had a wonderful family of her own. Now I don't want to make family of my own. 😂Anyways, I am sure your kitty will change a lot of perspectives in your life in a positive way. Sorry for my bad English and long comment.

Omg this reminds me of the time we got my boyfriends cat as a graduation gift from his mom back in June. We named her Joy and got her at 8 weeks off a farm. She’s a little diva now getting into literally everything, he has a dog and another cat and she gets along with the dog decently which was good. She is a Manx cat super cute and still small even though he has had her for 4 and a half months. That’s like the highlight of my day whenever I go over to his place.
There is something very calming, and relaxing watch a kitten eat and lack their lips.

It’s good that you adopted a kitten but it’s heartbreaking when kittens are separated from the mother and siblings.
Ikr that ain't it do people do it all time instead they should just adopt stray kittens or buy the whole family idk

Ideally, you should adopt two so they can occupy each other’s need for constant stimulation, especially with rough play, which is difficult for most owners to accomplish. Something to think about, and hopefully do!
This video is so cute and congrats on being a kitten mom! One tip is to not let her play with your fingers and bite them (like in the last part of the video) because she'll think your fingers are a toy and get in the habit of biting them. It's super cute but when she gets older and has sharper teeth it'll hurt.

cats usually need baths once a year just go refresh their skin and get rid of dandruff

I was nursing 3 kittens and gave one of them to their new home today I miss him but I'm keeping one kitten. :)
I've taken in kittens before and it would break my heart when I would watch my kitten play ALONE because he was the only cat in the house so I went and got another kitten so he would have a partner to play with and man, that was the best thing that I could of done for him. They played so hard that they would knock themselves out from playing so hard. My advice to people with pets, don't just get ONE get 2 because animals are like people and they get lonely too. I almost cried when I saw how much my kitty enjoyed his new partner. God bless all of you who take in a pet and give it a home. Thank you for this video it was a great story. 👍

My sister inlaw volunteers for a cat shelter. She received two abandoned Manx kittens. The first weeks were round the clock feeding. Five years on, they're grown BUT they both trt to fit inside their kitten bed like yours.

I adopted a senior cat that was abandoned at the shelter.
I got most of the cat stuff as a Christmas gift - except toys .
The cat which (was named Kitty ) hid under my bed for 5 weeks but turned into a beautiful great cat.
