Anterolateral Approach to Knee Injections

Awesome video! I do a fair number of injections in our clinic for visco, using either this anterolateral approach or do the medial approach at the midline of the patella. The anteromedial approach is easier and seems to be better tolerated by the patient, but I never get that satisfactory "pop" of getting through the joint capsule this way as opposed to doing it using the medial approach. I also find it tougher to aspirate any fluid using the anterolateral approach. Are both of these observations normal?
