Hurricane Ian will Rapidly Intensify

- Hurricane Ian will rapidly intensify, bringing winds over 100 mph to western Cuba. After that, it will emerge in the Gulf of Mexico, where it could become a Category 4 or 5 hurricane.
All indications are that it will slow near Tampa, causing historic flooding along the west coast of Florida.
I'll defer to my wonderful colleagues stateside to cover the US angle.
Ian will pull away from Grand Cayman through this evening.

Absolute devastation in southwest Florida. Many lives have been lost. Heartbreaking, horrific - no right words to describe that.
Ian will head to South Carolina. Tropical Depression 11 will just stay out there.
There remains NO threats in the Caribbean.
I’ll be back at it soon - thank you for your patience - it’ll take a moment to get up and running.

Here in Jamaica. We've been having showers from earlier tgis morning. Flooding in many parishes, impassable roads. Giving thanks it's not worst. Praying for those countries who will be affected by Ian

Just found your channel today .., I’m in Fort Myers FL You know what happened there 😢 I’m ok & my family also , however so many have lost homes lives … the debris is a constant reminder . Next time I’m OUT that was the scariest experience ever! I’m only one year as resident of Florida and lived through the largest hurricane ever in this area . 🙏 for everyone affected & the strength this community has shown to rebuild!

Glad you're back! A lot of comments on the last video were expressing displeasure that you haven't done an update in 24 hours. Maybe you could consider giving smaller incremental updates? It would help build the community.
