I have one of these and a CTK-900, both like new in the box and play them from time to time. I keep an old Windows 8 computer around to use the editor and load all the extra patches that were available on the web when they were new. They have useful more features than just about anything Casio has made in the last 15 years. The keybed is also much better than Casio's last decade of keybeds on consumer products. It has so many tones and effects, I never get bored.
Your former Video of that was the reason buying this baby last year , drove 350 km one way for it, got it with original package, played by a girl , so a nearly new appearance , happy . You promised not too much, the accomp is easy to use, nice usable rythms, classics, big bass reflex cabinets wich work very cool ,very low. Some of the dsp's are still working in todays pxs, ctx, cts models, piano Button ,miss it on my pxs...and the cool left, ultra low drawbar for deep bass organsound....great gear...thanks again ...
And thank you for your comment! Yeah this board is a real badboy, it's seems weird for a "home keyboard" to have such nasty capabilities. But it can also be sweet and mellow.
I need to mention how I have a Studio Electronics phase distortion module (Grainy Clampit) that I bought for /that/ Casio sound. Listening to this, I see all I needed really was a CTK-691!
That riff, geez the name of the song is on the tip of my tongue... not John Cougar Melloncamp, Bruce Springsteen maybe? A land of music I wrote off when it was current, but is so cemented into my brain...1985.... Oh damn, I got it, Glory Days🤣
@@ababababeebababa yeah these speakers are so good you don't need to use the external ones while practising in home. Or you can use them as monitors on stage.
Woah, that first pad! I'd bemoan the lack of THRU but then it's made to stand alone. Love that digital aliasing. For some reason that brings something to the sound. And yes the distortion... 80's Boss should be jealous!
Yeah I like the digital aliasing too! I tend not to mention it in my videos because digital artefacts still seem to attract criticism. But I love them. Everybody talks about "warm" synth tone but harsh, ice-cold, spiky-edges have a place too!
Cts 1000 /500///ctx 3000 / 5000 ///pxs 3100 if you mean the effect section with dsp and filters...sound source is completely new in this days models...
I have the CTK 671, based on your demo, which is this ones smaller brother, but the rhythm is supposed to be better according to some, mind you that is so subjective that I generally take it with a pinch of salt unless I can hear them side by side, and anyway that I do not buy these for their rhythms.

Yep, I agree. Radical over-performers :)

that's quite a tour for the Casio!
Sounds great! Those old synths really kick!
I don't think i've ever heard of a casio with a 909 kit until today
Glory days!
And I thought you were just echoing old mate's sentiments!
There are some real nice useable presets in that thing. Impressed!
Too vicious to be left to the kids learning Fur Elise ;)

Love the cat eye speaker grills ... a baby ctk-900 ... I believe this was a favorite of the other big keyboard reviewer ... "49"
I love those speakers too. Cool design.

ZPI once more! It's a little cut down version of the CTK 900 and the top of the line of ZPI series is WK 3600 i think
not wk-3800 ?
@@ababababeebababa youre right wk-3800 sorry!
@@keyhoarder that whole wk-3xxx series is a favorite of mine, great sounds, amazing speakers and true hidden gems

Is there much difference between the 3600 and the 3800? I'll have to see if I can find them out there in the 2nd hand market.

Industro synths are the best... especially when run thru a pignose.
Oh what a combination!

@gearfacts what's the funny blue and red keyboard in the back?
Ahh that's a crummy kids keyboard that might make a funny review one day! I don't think it even has a brand name on it.
@@gearfacts similar sound torment like these supermarket keyboards?
Hi Gearfacts you haven’t video the Casio lk 160 keyboard yet
It's on my list!
What other Casio's have that sound engine

Anything with "ZPi" written on the front panel. If you just google "Casio ZPi" you should be able to find a pretty comprehensive list.
Casio CTK 900, Casio MZ 2000, Casio WK 3000 and many more
Glory Days... Bruce Springsteen
As I've said before......Many a good tune played on an old........ 😀
I have that keyboard

I had a 671 a long time ago and although I can't remember specifics, I do believe there was a reason why i preferred the 671 ...hmm not sure why.
