After their escape from the prison camp, the Sentinels arrive at a decimated base where Cormack succumbs to his wounds, prompting Gideon to think of an endgame to avenge their comrade.
Being airlifted by unmanned helicopter drones into New Baghdad in ASTs, Gideon and Mitchell destroy many Atlas forces on the nearby roads and river until they reach their drop point. After dropping into the river below, the duo manages to infiltrate the underground launch center and slaughter all personnel in the area, making it to the launch chamber. As the rocket prepares to take off, Mitchell and Gideon destroy the engine's generator and stop the rocket, in the process destroying their ASTs and incapacitating Mitchell.
Gideon hauls Mitchell to a lobby where they briefly take out few soldiers, with Mitchell fading in and out of consciousness. When the two reach the top of the spire, they are halted by Irons himself, who has a breakdown and locks their exoskeletons into submission, proving their dependency. Irons explains his ideologies and intentions, elaborating on his disappointment in Mitchell and his ultimate goal to liberate the world, beginning with extermination. As Irons makes a hasty escape, Mitchell manually releases from his exoskeleton and chases Irons to a garden when the Sentinels call in an airstrike on the building, bombing the other half and leaving Irons hanging for his life.
As Irons pleads with him, Mitchell uses his knife to amputate his prosthetic arm, casting it along with Irons into the inferno below. Mitchell then drops his knife as Gideon comes to his side and helps him out of the area as Mitchell narrates over about Irons' death only being the beginning.

There's one thing that bothers me.... why does Iron not take a shot? Like, at least kill one of them while Mitchel and Gideon exo suits get hacked, and then run..... The "I am not a monster" reason does not add up....
This was the first game that gave me a “futuristic” first person shooter feel. The story in my opinion was actually really good as well. It was futuristic in the way that didn’t seem to far in like a time span or 20-40 years. Perfect balance.
Ah one of two Call of Duty entries that people hated at the time due to its unrealistic events and weaponry but now years later some people have began to love
I feel like if they had started a new series dedicated to the scifi cod-esque, it would have been receieved better. Attaching it to COD had people thinking it would be like previous "grounded" or at least more foot and gun than machine and mech.
Eh it was the maps that did it for me. Didn't really mesh with the exos imo. They made standard cod maps with gameplay that didn't mesh. Campaign was fun though

This brings back a lot of memories, when elite and special forces go in it’s often 1 to 5, the crap fights we go into is insane and sometimes a suicide mission, try to retrieve his body but if not possible grab all the tags and patches
While I always thought this level was really cool, has anyone else noticed how similar it is to the last level of MW3? You (Price/Mitchell) and your military buddy (Yuri/Gideon) do an endgame assault on the bad guy's (Makarov/Irons) hideout in a tower wearing uber armor (juggernaut/AST) that makes you pretty much invincible for the first half. Then something happens (helicopter crash/missile launch) that destroys your armor and forces you to continue without it. Another thing happens that knocks your buddy out of commission (Yuri gets impaled/Gideon's suit gets frozen) and you have to chase the bad guy alone to the roof of said tower. You and the bad guy have a final confrontation and he dies, while your military buddy gets free somehow and helps you out in some way, although granted, Gideon doesn't die here. Not trying to trash on this level, just always thought his was kinda funny.

In CoD Mobile the A.S.T is so bad comparing it to the one usable in CoD AW multiplayer which can be fully equiped with the S.W.A.R.M and the Rocket

My FAVORITE killstreak back in its glory days. Expensive as all hell, but once you got it...oh man...the game was as good as won. NOTHING save for an FHJ-18 or SMRS would hurt it, and that chaingun was DEADLY... but I understand why Tencent had to nerf it- it was kinda unfair for the other team, and nobody ever thought to bring an FHJ-18...

The Lighting on the pre-rendered cut scenes are the best. Making the characters nearly real. Damn even Infinite Warfare can't match Advance Warfare's cut scenes.
I agree. If there was one thing that was overlooked and underappreciated about this game, it's exactly that.

Well we had to admit that this, infinite warfare, and modern warfare cutscenes and pre rendered character models are way better than Black Ops 3.
