Maidstone fan here - Weymouth must be wondering how they lost that. Two crap penalty decisions - if Weymouth had scored theirs, it would have levelled the luck. The current handball rules, which do not allow for a defender being unable to avoid being hit on the arm, are a nonsense. The referee has stuck to the letter of the law in giving these, he can't be blamed for that but things like this ruin a match. Referees should be given more discretion to not give a penalty when incidents like these occur. We got one in our favour against Slough on Saturday, which was very harsh on them. Our player went up to head a cross, and it glanced off his head straight down on to the top of the defender's arm. What was he supposed to do to avoid it?
