Im from Dresden and when I was younger and old lady used to be our neighbor who told us about the attacks. Unbelievably graphic stories. Dresden has big historic center with fountains and while it was burning people would jump into these fountains to protect themselves from it but got boiled alive. I do agree with the assessment that WW2 was the last war of agression. All wars since, in my opinion, were strategic for other reasons. Resources, humanitarian, liberation, etc... Use the US as example. Iraq, they were no threat to us. Afghanistan, they were no threat to us. Vietnam, no threat to us. These are political wars about resources, world power, humanitarian, etc.. None were like fuck you, no fuck you, and war commenced. That's how I view it.

Joe has repeatedly made statements about his fear of traveling to other countries. Listen to his podcast with Robert Shoch for just a small example. Shoch asked Joe if he'd been to Egypt and when Joe said no Shoch kept excitedly saying that Joe had to come with him sometime to see the wonders there and it was pretty obvious that Joe wasn't gonna be doing that any time soon. Joe's narrow attitude on the rest of the world really is a microcosm for the average American. Which is ultimately pretty sad since he's got a such a great platform to reach out to people from and is also wealthy enough that he could easily go to a lot of the more sketchy area of the world in relative safety and comfort.

Joe could really do a service for Americans by conducting long interviews with foreign thought leaders. I've come to learn that we're all brothers and sisters with similar hopes and aspirations across many areas, regardless of race, culture or creed. We have much to learn from each other. All the former Soviet states have basically put all the sins of the Soviet Union onto Russia in an effort to suck up to the US and NATO. Russia is a fabulous country and culture. They may not always have good politics, but we certainly don't either. The reason they love Putin so much is that he is a patriot through and through. Everything he does is for them. Bad in our eyes, but great in theirs. They look past some of the violence and corruption because they have an attitude like 'that's what it takes'. We have our own version of that. You attribute mysterious deaths of critics as fact that he had them killed, yet you treat mysterious deaths of Hillary's critics as a conspiracy theory. There is no more evidence for one than the other. All-in-all, Russia and Russians are fiercely loyal to their people and will defend territory, heritage or ethnicity to no end, but they generally want everyone to just piss off and leave them alone.

Dresden was not bombed by Russians; it was the "Allies" that leveled it.
In ww2 Russia were part of the allies
And the Soviets did request the bombing to prevent a German retreat (I think)

I agree with that. However the main reason for attacking Dresden was revenge for the luftwaffe bombing Coventry. Both citys virtually had no military presence and both had an inflated population due to other cities being bombed.

Im from Dresden and when I was younger and old lady used to be our neighbor who told us about the attacks. Unbelievably graphic stories. Dresden has big historic center with fountains and while it was burning people would jump into these fountains to protect themselves from it but got boiled alive. Jets with machine guns would hunt small groups of people along the river it must have been horrible. Dresden was not a military relevant city and actually had no business being bombed so many consider it a war crime

I do agree with the assessment that WW2 was the last war of agression. All wars since, in my opinion, were strategic for other reasons. Resources, humanitarian, liberation, etc...
Use the US as example. Iraq, they were no threat to us. Afghanistan, they were no threat to us. Vietnam, no threat to us.
These are political wars about resources, world power, humanitarian, etc..
None were like fuck you, no fuck you, and war commenced.
That's how I view it.
Joe needs to get out and travel more. Spend time with the locals and develop a more balanced perspective on how the USA relates to the world. You cannot develop this perspective from within the US borders. It would make him an even more interesting and credible interviewer. He could conduct interviews with local figures while overseas. Now THAT would be interesting and informative.

@@bigchivo4199 No, Joe has been to a lot of places just for UFC events. Meaning he goes to a city and in there for 2-3 days at the most and then comes home. Joe has repeatedly made statements about his fear of traveling to other countries. Listen to his podcast with Robert Shoch for just a small example. Shoch asked Joe if he'd been to Egypt and when Joe said no Shoch kept excitedly saying that Joe had to come with him sometime to see the wonders there and it was pretty obvious that Joe wasn't gonna be doing that any time soon.
Joe's narrow attitude on the rest of the world really is a microcosm for the average American. Which is ultimately pretty sad since he's got a such a great platform to reach out to people from and is also wealthy enough that he could easily go to a lot of the more sketchy area of the world in relative safety and comfort.
@@bigchivo4199 Jose, there's a huge difference between visiting a place for a few days versus really getting to know the locals and their viewpoint. Joe could really do a service for Americans by conducting long interviews with foreign thought leaders. Americans live in a virtual bubble because of our geography and do not have a good understanding of how the rest of the world views America. I've spent half my adult life outside of the USA. I've come to learn that we're all brothers and sisters with similar hopes and aspirations across many areas, regardless of race, culture or creed. We have much to learn from each other. Anthony Bourdain came closest to capturing many such insights, though in less depth than what Rogan might accomplish..

@@lip124 they don't know much about country or people or culture. In Eastern Europe u would likely get welcomed by most people even though they dont know you. There is issue with organized crime here in most countries but still... U would be far safer than in some first world countries... At least when it comes to mine(Serbia)... And its always so interesting hearing grown ups in USA and other western countries talk so... Childish like about general topics. I wish most of u have seen some of the slavic countries... When an old wise person speaks they speak with calm manor and very elaborate thinking on topics... In USA it is mostly spoken with arrogance or with internet culture because there isnt one. It was a colony and became independent and is now facing social issues. It is best economy in the world but worst thing i find about USA is that how much internet was a tool to grow up for most... And i mean most... Nobody there knows how to fix stuff around house nor to do stuff around house. And when i say that dont tell me in rural areas they do cuz in rural areas carrying guns is so exciting. Here people who were in army and carried guns arent making everything seem so much of who they are, part of their identity. Anything in USA can be part of identity from sexuality, religion, politics, freaking anything... It is sad they look at themselves like yu gi oh cards... But most children here arw becoming like that here too because youtube and internet has made them lose interest into developing skills... A lot of plumbers, carpenters, etc are migrants in USA who come from different countries.
