- Check out this bus with a Porsche 911 ROW 3.0. We did this conversion few years back. Wet fun to drive.
Makes you smile like crazy.
Ice cold AC Transmission 091 6 rib with freeway flyer gears.
Conversion done by David Bustamente
You’re right they should have made them like this they were woefully underpowered, 50 bhp from the 1600cc version ! 👍🏻🇬🇧
This bug brings back memories of my 1970 single cab that was powered by a warmed over 2.7 Porsche flat six. I loved that truck and wish I'd never sold it. Hopefully, somewhere in California it's still running strong.
The flat 6 Corvair engine, conversion works well also.
Now everybody's gonna want one.
Great conversion that bus is a must for any adventure. Cool vid.
Makes me miss my old girl..
Nice job❤
Very, very cool, Dave!
Eyes and eargasm!! Amazing! GREAT JOB!!!
Beautiful
That simple, & so clean
I'd love to see that done to a 60's split window, but that is awesome! A buddy in college had the same year and color. We drove it out to Washington State and back to the Midwest one summer. Epic adventure.
That’s the kind of thing I like
You used the original trans and the motor bolted right up? Working on a 73...I like this, thanks for posting.
Hi yes original 091 transmission had the gear changed out to match those in a 911 transmission.
Or freeway flyer.
Kennedy adapter for a 3.0 Porsche to the 091 transmission with the VW Clutch assembly.
What engine are you using. I do have an early 911 flywheel that converts to a 091 transmission available. You can call me

Thank you
@havasuporsche currently has a beetle motor, the hunt for a reasonably priced 911 motor starts now. My van is a wild westerner, pretty sure there wouldn't be another one anywhere with a 3L.
So, the owner loved it so much he's selling it, hahahahahaha! That 3.0 is worth more than the bus. I also sure hope you increased the torsion bars in the rear to account for the larger mass.
Nice bus. I find it hard to believe that the A/C is ice cold. As a former owner of a couple of Porsche 911’s, Porsche isn’t known for having *good* A/C.
still for sale?
Hi yes still for sale contact me for information David 818 535-564five
How do I get in touch with you? IG or FB?

Nice bus, but shouldn’t the sheet metal seal off the engine compartment for proper cooling?
