    The best calcium reactor series that has put together on you-tube.

    What recirculation pump speed do you recommend with the Varios DC pump? I’ve been running on level 2 on the cr200 and wondering if I can get more stable performance at a different recirculation speed.

      The speed really depends on the demand of the system and the size of the reactor to the system. The more flow you have the higher the turnover rate recirculating CO2 through the media. I ran my reactor on power level 3 in the winter and 4 in the summer when the demand was greater. That is what I found worked with my system. The best advice I can give is to try out power level 3 for a week and see what differences you notice and if they are positive or not.

    I am running the Reef Octopus VarioS CR200 with the Kamoer FX-STP on a 200 gallon system. Connected to an APEX. Everything is running seemingly well. (Thanks for the Videos)
    My question is is multi part.
    1) Can you go over the valve adjustment if any on the various on off valves. When and why to adjust or tune them down.
    2) Is it normal to have the SWOOSH sound (air pulling through the varios pump) every 5-10 seconds?
    3) If the swoosh is normal or not can it be adjusted to not be so loud.

      It is normal to have the CO2 recirculate. If it is excessive throughout the day your CO2 pressure and or CO2 feed is set too high for your effluent drip-rate.

      @@CoralVueTV Is it a bad idea to tune down (restrict) the John Guest Valve that is on the re circuation line? I turned it off then slowly opened the valve until the gas at the top started to slowly re circulate. This seemed to fix the problem as well, As is T/S the above advice.

    How do we maintain the water flow through varios6 pump and kamoer so that it doesn’t overflow. I’m using the exact same set up with Kamoer pump running at 140ml/min yet when the Varios pump turns on, the tank starts to overflow from top (probe inlet). Pls suggest!

      You only use one or the other to feed the reactor. I am guessing you have the FX-STP pump on the effluent line which will control the flow through the reactor. There is no need for a pump on the feed as the calcium reactors circulation pump will naturally draw water into the reactor. Also, 140ml per min is a very high dosing rate to be used.

    I’m a little bit confused on the# on the carbon doser. It says second per bubble. When I set to 8 I assumed 8 seconds before the first bubble comes out of the doser or is it 8 bubbles comes out per 7 second ?

    • @randomhiphop5055
      @randomhiphop5055 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It counts to 8 and clicks then the bubble comes then it counts to 8 again

    Not sure what's going on with the pump, power is on pump doesn't turn on, what can I do

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pump engaging likely has something to do with it being airlocked or something preventing the impeller from responding to the pump. Usually, you can tell by the error the VarioS controller emits. If you have not done so already I would suggest submitting a support ticket at coralvue.com to better assist you.

    what's the speed i should have it running 50? Kamoer FX-STP

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The speed or dosing amount depends on the demand of the tank. On my 240gal mixed reef I have my FX-STP set to dose 40ml.

    Why do no videos about this reactor talk about the recirculating valve? !!! SO FRUSTRATING.

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the frustration. The valve is intended to be open at all time to allow the CO2 that accumulates at the top of the reactor and recirculates it back through the media till utilized. It is also used to shut off and disconnect from the lid to allow atmosphere/built up CO2 to escape. Hope this helps.
