It came loose from the tensioner and he was holding onto it, it stretched about 3 ft through his hands and I mean to tell you just mutilated his damn hands. I said grandpa you want some work gloves? He looked at me and said(I'll never forget this) "Leather gloves cost $14, my hands'll heal for free". He worked the rest of the day like nothing happened. I wouldn't call him a cowboy but he sure was one hard ass ol farmer. Wish he woulda told me after that "On to the next one ol son!"
As someone who visits Nebraska every year I can confirm that the old OG farmers out there are tough as nails. Just replace the cowboy hat with a mesh trucker hat with some random fertilizer company logo on it.
