14:43 History with Dave
If you missed our adventure last year, Dave takes some of the most questionable lines ever. I'm biased, but it's s very much worth the watch! th-cam.com/video/IiBs7Izb858/w-d-xo.html
Hey Dale! Thanks for checking out my trail (Breath) - absolutely fantastic riding, insane amount of control on the big chute! Glad you enjoyed
Can you load on to the Blackcomb Gondola to access it?
@@kellmurphy1344 Nope, access from Comfortably Numb.
Thanks for the amazing trail! 🙂 Of our ~1500m exploring day it was definitely my favourite. I'm sure it wasn't easy to scout a line through that terrain, but it definitely paid off!
@@kellmurphy1344 No, totally different direction.
@@DaleStone Haha, not too much scouting involved, other than finding a way through the rock gap near the top. The trail was conceived when my friend and I rode regular BOTW and saw a cool rideable slab... then one above that, then another one! There's a video of my friend riding the first big slab whilst covered in moss and with a log across it out there somewhere...
That was such a fun ride!!
I love the collabs with Dave. He was not riding like it was his first time on those trails. Great stuff, Dale.
Let's call him NoFearDave; it's why I send him down first. 😆
Nice to see you again with D-Dave. 👍👋
This trail is the perfect balance of fun and tech. Great riding, and DD win pinned the entire ride. Riding trails blind is really fun if the trail is well-built. They should've called it Jungle Boogie. Lol.
Don’t get me wrong, I love your gear review videos - you are insanely good at them and they are a service to the community. Keep doing them! But of late, as your focus has been on your business and editing said review videos, I have been missing your adventure rides with Dave et al. Glad you sprinkled this one in the mix! I won’t be doing it, but for riders with the right skill set, that looked like a heck of a good ride and way to spend a day!
Thanks Nick! I have several riding/fiver videos lined up, so rest assured they aren't going anywhere for now. 🙂
those trails are stunning! Problem is, damn, its gonna be a lot, lot of climbing before you can enjoying the DH I think 🤣
Makes it all that much more delicious!
Such a cool looking trail! Some parts had some serious exposure that you would not want to lose control on.
Definitely no room for error in spots here!
Epic trail! Love how you guys can flow such chunky terrain.
Woah! These trails are incredible but out of my league. I would have loved to watch one of you sing "Get down on it" while nose manualing a slab! 😂 So good to see dry trails, at my place it's been months that we have two conditions wet or damped...
A nose manual is when you balance on the front wheel without using the front brake. You are referring to a stoppie
They're pretty interchangeable honestly. 🙂
So good!! I rode these trails a year ago, and they definitely blew my mind! 😍
Would be cool to see your distance and time for the ride at the end of these long epic rides. Really enjoyed this one
This one was 2-3 videos long, I'll be sure to include it in the final video!
Holy cannoli, that all looked amazing!
Out of curiosity, do you ever have any hesitation for those narrow sections with exposure? (Such as at 8:07) I personally always second guess myself, get anxious, and end up walking them 😅Would love to hear how you approach them! Sick riding as always, and thank you for all the quality uploads recently!!
If it's an easy section of trail without anything for my hands or feet to hit, I try not to overthink it haha. I've done a long video on risk management riding one of Squamish's hardest trails that it sounds like you'd enjoy though! 🙂
2 of my favorite riders to watch. Great video thanks!
Great vid as usual! Now, how many rim dingers was in this video??? It may be time to go up a psi or 3 🤣
I added an extra 2 because Whistler, but I should've added an extra 10 eh? 😂
love the vid guys great riding there lovely views and nice trails
insanely good fellas
I love how all the videos I’ve ever been able to find on breath of the wild before this one are just people taking enormous slams and sliding down the hill. 😂
Good to see the same didn’t happen here!
Right?? I regret watching them before going. 🫠
that breath of the wild slab was quite a drifty one at the bottom when I hit it lol. bring on the weekend was a surprisingly awesome trail.
Easily in my top 2 Whistler laps. Such a great time.
Love the views man. Great job riding. I gotta ask, and im sure you get this alot. How do you go about not seeing any bears? I live in Sweden so maybe im prejudice towards Canada for having alot of them, but I feel like the surroundings at the later stages of the video is bang on bear-territory? Are bears just that much of a constant that you don't really think about it? Or is it too early in the season for bears to be out and about?
Anyway. Great video as always. Looking forward to the next!
We see lot's, but they are never a problem as they are so used to humans. North of Pemberton is however a different story. More caution warranted the further north/remote you go.
I see probably 20-30 bears per year actually! Thankfully always black. But once we're at/North of Whistler we definitely carry bear spray. Typically they don't want anything to do with us either, so it's mutually assured peace of mind in a way, haha. 🙂
So epic! Now on my to-ride list
Damn, that looks waaaay too fun!
I know you guys are friends... And he might be a little short... But is it cool to call him a stump? 🤔
@6:05 😉😁
Dale great to see you back posting rides with real forks
Great to be back on them, haha. My Claymore will remain my dream build, and my Highlander my test platform. 🤓
Your bike is so quiet!
My worst injury this year is stepping into a yellow jacket nest 😅
This year??? Fffffffff-
Looks absolutely amazing, as do most of the trails you guys ride. Makes me wish it weren't a 16 hour drive....😢
Time for a roadtrip! 🥳
@@DaleStone Ha ha, you're telling me!
Man, if only such a fun and scenic trail exists anywhere near me (not that I have the skills to clear them though).
You would if they did! 🫡
I consider it one of the best trails I've had the privilege to ride. If you hit it, take a moment to pay respects to one of our fellow riders it's dedicated to. He left us way too early.
Thanks Dale. Looks like a cool trail. How’s the climb up? What route? How long is the climb?
We climbed up Interstellar Overdrive. The entire approach was technical and pretty XC. A lot of fun if you're in the mindset for it. Time could vary a lot so I won't speculate!
What's the best way back from these trails to the village. I figure riding the train track isn't optimal...
Not sure, we parked at Wedgemount to make things easier.
Hey Dale, great riding as always! I know you run Onyx hubs. Do you have to run a thru axle spacer on your Claymore? My rotors rub my frame on my Claymore with Onyx Classic hubs.
I've only ran Vespers on this bike so far and have had no issues. Could be that you're using an extra thick Hope or otherwise rotor? Never heard of this being an issue though, strange!
@@DaleStone Thanks for the info. Hope Floating and SRAM HS2. Even my Hayes rotor hugs the edge of the caliper.
ione qestion, did you rode up wish you were here ot numb to go to the start of the weekend?
We parked at Wedgemount and climbed up Interstellar Overdrive, would recommend.
Still using the DJI Action 4?
Sure am!
Anyone know if you can load a bike on the blackcomb gondola to access this?
Nope, access from Comfortably Numb

Trail is almost as mind blowing as the AI/Bot commenters that are female body parts .
Bodybots 😳
@@ToddNZMTB Crotch shot on Tour coverage. Weird…just gets weirder all the time.
@@michaelrandall9034 between this and the boner booster type ads I wonder if TH-cam are actually doing anything at all.
They are too busy swimming in our Adsense money like Scrooge McDuck to care.
@@DaleStone and if I pay _them_ the ads magically disappear 🫥
Nice video, but why did you not go full speed?😅
Oh we most certainly did for a trail we don't know! 🙈
