You have a handsome, graceful, humble husband, Amy. He holds and nuzzles his children & he is graceful, protective & considerate of you. Gods peace & blessings upon you & yours & all your endeavors. 💫
Marc the "electrician" was too funny. So happy the little pig has a new home. He seemed to love his surroundings. Clement and Juliette are totally adorable. I just love your channel. God bless your family.
What an adorable little pig! I loved seeing his tail wagging. What a good laugh I had when Clement was in the cage! Juliette is such a little cutie. I was on the edge of my seat when Marc was playing with electricity. Oh my! 🐖 🌸🌱
pigs are SOOOO intelligent, & they "jump for joy"...I've seen it. wonderful addition to your menagerie..believe Gerald Durrell would applaud..very inclusive life there... so lovely to see "piggy" out & about in later videos, definitely part of the WHOLE family... Bravo!!! "Remember Wilber, Charlotte's Web, how I came to respect arachnids"
Thank you Amy and Marc. Such a lovely video, I just love how you work together so well, and your infectious laugh Amy, had me laughing. I loved seeing Clement copying his daddy how to put the poles in the ground, and also how Clement takes his chainsaw everywhere with him. Juliette is growing fast, what a lovely family you are . Sending hugs to you all xx
Happy birthday to Clement❤️❤️. The pig is a good addition to the Chateau and a great friend for Clement. Our daughter’s family had one for about five years and their three children loved it! Watching the two of you doing electrical work was too funny! You both have such a great sense of humor!
Another delightful episode introducing Piggy. I always look forward to your vlogs. We spent all our childhood vacations on our grandparent’s farm which was established near Berlin, Germany, in the early 1800s so I watch your farm life with great joy and nostalgia. There’s nothing like exploring a dusty attic finding treasure. And nothing like being shocked by an electric fence….The last time I found my grandmother’s Art Deco crystal pink vanity set she brought when she married my grandfather. It’s lovely and must have been a wedding gift. My cousin and I pieced the history together, realizing the bedroom suite was also Art Deco but from a catalog. Farmers are frugal people. I was so glad when my cousin gave it to me and it has now pride of place in my own bedroom. Family history! Omi and Opa were also once young and full of joy and hope. When the last uncle passed on, we as four cousins, decided to keep it as a family vacation home. Of course there’s always one who wants the money so we paid her out. We leased out the pastures and wheat fields so it’s the homestead, outbuildings and Grandma’s farm garden which is now a wildflower meadow. But the old lilacs and berry bushes are still there. To others - and the renegade - it’s nothing but a crumbling pile of old, dusty, filthy brick and stone. But for us it’s our childhood and the memories and the connection to a long line of hardworking people. My three cousins living close by maintain it and I do hope to visit next year again! I live in Houston, Texas. To us it’s our homeland. Our Heimat.
That was fun! My, how that pig grew in 3 months :) I also have a husband prone to shock himself with electrical work, sigh. Glad all went well, and the sweet piggy has a home. Thanks so much!
Love your intro! I has a cute piggy face! Too bad your children are so ignored by their parents😉. How lucky you are to be able to be with them so much! So cute that the piggy wags his tale!
In the U.S. some small pigs only eat grass. It takes a long time to grow big enough to harvest an eat. They are usually friendly. Heritage breeds are popular with homesteaders.
Juliette seems to be mesmerized by daddy's voice. She looks so comfortable in such odd positions. Good daddy Marc. I know Amy appreciates his help. He's a natural. I got a baby pot bellied pig when Peter Pig was 6 weeks old. He lived in the house as a dog would and I potty trained him. When he became 110 lbs I re-homed him to a farm close to where I was living at that time. Pete was a sweet boy.
At 21.28 The wall socket turned black. 🤭🤭🤭 Marc continued I came to see my mother saying fire fire 🔥🔥 It was really cool 👏👏👏 That had me laugh till I 🤣🤣
Hi there Amy, I know this is a little late, however my husband urged me to send a comment. I may be repeating others comments or you may have already learnt this. But if not then it may be helpful to you. Your wee pig looks like a Vietnamese Potbelly Cross breed. (A purebred shouldnt have any white markings) He can grow quite large and heavy being a cross because of hybrid vigor. He can live up to 25 years old if he's well looked after and you keep an eye on the condition of his teeth which can start to rot and wear down noticeably when he hits his teens. If he's a boar, he should /may grow tusks which can become sharp and need paring back for safety. He can and will bite if he gets annoyed and if he does grow tusks he will use those too. If he's not castrated and you plan to keep him for his life, I urge you to castrate him. Also an electric fence will not stop a pig that takes fright. They will run flat out and go through, between or under the fence. We have very recently lost the last of our pigs to old age. My beautiful PJ was a 20 yr old, Kune Kune Boar (also a minature breed), he was just over 200 kgs (not fat, just solid with the weight of his cartilage like armour). He was like a walking brick & he grew to the size of a shetland pony. He had massive tusks but had lost all of his molars from grass grazing over the years, so the last 3 years of his life he was feed 3 times a day by me. We taught him early on to walk on a dog harness for ease of shifting him etc. But when he grew tusks we used a pig board as well to ensure there was wood between us and him. We also taught him to sit, roll over and stay. All for ease of handling him. But being an intelligent boy he liked the challenge and the stimulation. He was good natured most of the time, however he was also very territorial and could be aggressive to strangers, dogs and horses. We are experienced pig owners , who previously had a free range breeding operation of 200 Berkshire Sows and half a dozen Boars. The minature breeds don't grow as big as our Commercial pigs, but a boar is a boar and can be aggressive and unpredictable at times. So prevention is better than cure. PS he would also appreciate a water wallow as pigs don't sweat so the wallow helps them stay cool and fly free in the summer. Love your Vlog by the way X
Oh My Word! When you said an electric fence, I thought you were talking about the one where a dog wears a collar & can't cross a buried wire or he'll get a shock! That would be called an invisible fence. Dugh I just Luv how Clement is so determined to always help! 💗
So glad to see you all again; the children have grown so much and are just adorable! Pigs make really good pets and are quite intelligent, keep working with him, he will learn. I just love all of the animals, they are beautiful! Bless you guys and look forward to seeing you again.🥰
Clement has got the animal husbandry bug - such a natural way for a child to learn - with his own "pig". Sparky Marcy has charmed words but Astute Amy knows better. Great vlog - in the mountains one has to turn ones hand to anything. Wonderful family - wonderful plans. Keep safe . Hugs & bisous. 🤗😘🤗😘🤗😘🤗😘
(from Sharon) Thank you so much for making the effort to put together a vlog in what I remember to be a very difficult time to find a spare minute! The little piglet is a perfect addition to the menagerie of animals at Rosieres. I enjoy the banter between the two of you:))
I have piggy envy. I absolutely love pigs! I'd happily have some here on my little block. I had pigs here about 35 years ago, but alas they got sold at Christmas when they were a couple of years old. I did have a little work pig for a couple of years too, she was madly in love with our calf, she chased him around the house all day! But she had to go as did the calf. I do hope you get piggy "fixed" they're much quieter and easy to handle. Piggies are very social animals, they'll quite happily eat from your hand and follow you around. I had a laugh at Marc fixing the fence unit, been there, done that with my old one. I think the coil had broken on my one too, must be a common fault on old units! It's just as well I learnt to solder in my misspent youth! Handy skill isn't it? But I never electrocuted myself! Hope piggy has a long and happy life at Rosieres! Much love and big hugs 🤗♥️🤗
That’s a good question Judy. I’m not used to pigs and I’ve not yet ‘understood’ him. He seems a bit unpredictable. But he’s quite sweet and I like that he follows us around!
Enjoyed the excitement of the pig and mending the electric pen. The children are growing so quickly and even more adorable. Always thrilled with your videos. Janice from Arkansas USA
What a great birthday present 🎁 Your son is so adorable and Juliette’s expressions are priceless. Have you named the pig? Are you planning to get more? Really enjoyed watching this vlog. Marc’s sense of humor is cheeky to say the least. Can’t wait to see what’s happening in the carriage house 😍😘
Happy birthday Clemont🎂,what a happy little piggy 🐷,Marc sence of humour is funny and Juliet looks like him ,your children are so cute ,I love to see peacocks at chateaus and large homes beautiful birds x💕🌼🤗
Pigs are emotionally intelligent and social animals - very much like dogs. He would love have a companion one day... once he's fixed that is (wink-wink). You're creating such an enriching environment for your children to grow up in. Blessings to all the chateau inhabitants!
Well that was a little bit Shocking lol sorry couldn't help myself. Lovely family you have an so friendly an down to earth. Always get a laugh , in a good way , out of your videos. Take care.
My sister's dog, known forever known as "Sparky', figured out a way to test electrical fencing...by urinating on it. Twice. The learning curve is real!
My gosh, Juliette certainly does resemble her Daddy....she's a doll and Clement certainly is becoming a little man...busy busy! Your tractor cake was cute...well done and happy birthday handsome Clement. I love Marc's humour....so dry....hilarious! The little pig is so cute! Good luck! Thanks again for a lovely family video!

I absolutely love how you let your little ones 'help'. Taking care of living creatures are such important life lessons. ❤️
I love how Marc holds Juliette with one arm and her head resting in the crook of his arm. She seems very contented in that position.

Cute piglet. I was so relieved when you had the pop-up the chainsaw is a toy. I'm such a mom, I fretted when he Clement fell on it. 😆

I enjoy the humour between you. Lovely video...I smiled through-out 🐽 wishing you a wonderful week!
Happy second Birthday Clement, not everyone gets a cute pig for their birthday. Have you thought of tweaking the intro to include Juliette?
Love to see all that multi-tasking!
The pig needs a friend ♥️
My sister's dog, known forever known as "Sparky', figured out a way to test electrical fencing...by urinating on it. Twice. The learning curve is real!
😂😂😂
Great video 🐷😁
Loved this! Cant wait to see more piggie updates 🐷🐷
Clement is trying so hard to help his Dad. He sure is a great little helper. What does Pepper think of Pig?
Better grab the second pig sooner than later. Pigs by their nature are very social.
enjoyed this vlog very much Marc is funny lovely couple
My gosh, Juliette certainly does resemble her Daddy....she's a doll and Clement certainly is becoming a little man...busy busy! Your tractor cake was cute...well done and happy birthday handsome Clement. I love Marc's humour....so dry....hilarious! The little pig is so cute! Good luck! Thanks again for a lovely family video!
Love your pig, new family member! Amy & Marc, you are both so cute together, your sense of humour gets me laughing!
Congratulations Marc on multitasking - vlogging, holding baby, erecting a fence!
It's so funny that Marc likes the pig 🐷. Can't you guys give him a name? Maybe Tony or Frank? I think that would be nice 😜
Pigs are so smart and you just gave him a play park! That's one happy little pig!
Ahh , love all your animals, pig is lovely, it's great for the children to grow up around animals. Enjoying watching your videos, jane.
What a refreshing vlog , your family life is never dull and what ever life challenges you face there is always a solution , even if it is to be found after much trial and error 👍💕👏
That was bloody brilliant❤️❤️
OMG you guys had me cracking up - glad you both survived electrocution. 😂Your kids are going to have such fun experiences growing up with the animals. So many life lessons to be learned. I have this sneaky feeling that pig will be quite large one day. 😂
Blimey you nearly gave me a heart attack …… wonderful to see the wee ones outside albeit Juliette is still a tad too young to be helping her big brother with his ground works. God bless all and take care…..please xx
What a sweet and adorable pig. Pigs are very intelligent and lovely family pets. They are very family oriented so they will warm up to you if you’re gentle with them. They can easily become part of the family in a house. Pigs are not given enough credit for their intelligence and their interactive skills with humans. You’re giving him a chance to get to know you and they easily warm up to you. I would look up the breed you have and their temperament and what they like and get to know him better. I’ve never seen a black haired pig with a white spot on his face he is adorable and unique. He’s already become very friendly in three months. They are so adaptable.🌈🇨🇦
I haven't done the research but was always told they were not very intelligent. I will have to look into this before I comment again. He is adorable.
Yes. Pigs are super smart. Fun fact from Wikipedia fifth-most intelligent animal in the world-even more intelligent than dogs-and are capable of playing video games with more focus and success than chimps! Hello to you all, What a gorgeous piggy; he was so little and nervous when you rescued him and now he's really big and happy. Thought of a name yet? Peppa? I wonder if Clement will name him? I was really worried that Marc kept getting electric shocks but well done for persevering with that ancient kit! I love your vlogs: you are such a gorgeous and fun family. Awww you're all so sweet and fun! That piggy is a very lucky one and has found a perfect home! I'm sure all the animals will soon be best of friends. :D
Lovely video, this brought back memories, i was born on a farm in Australia, and my uncle gave me 13 chickens for my 13th Birthday.
your baby Juliette is amazing .. you can work with her in your arms !!
Lol, so you had me jumping when you touched that wire!
The both of you make fantastic real life actors. The electrocution was hilarious 😂. Did you name the pig after?
Another lovely vlog. Thank you!
