***** thanks for that info...it's a fast rubber so im surprised he chops with it....how do you know for sure that's what he uses? thanks again for responsding
+Rick Anderson He was actually featured in Takkyu-Ohkoku (only table tennis magazine in Japan) equipment only special edition. He said he has mark V from when he started and never bothered or liked to change the rubber (although he has newer version of it)
YUKI YANO ok yuki..thanks a lot....i bought joo's blade last week and put two smooth tackiness chop rubbers on....loving it....will keep mark v in mind for next sheet though...thanks for the response
Usually when your return your opponents shots it deflects at the same or greater speed, taking pace off the ball means adjusting your touch so you absorb some of the speed and return a slower ball
Aida is a Japanese player playing in the Swedish League, that's why he's not very well known on the international tour. He's a modern defender that can also attack, and he plays with 2 inverted rubbers (Yasaka Mark V HPS on both sides). But it's true that his style is more balanced between attack and defence, certainly because he can easily attack on both sides, which is more difficult when you have a long pips rubber on backhand.
spo...did you ever find out the rubbers and blade from aida? iv'e been looking for a smooth set up to chop with for a while now.

+Rick Anderson mark V is not fast. cory was right. roughly equiv to sriver. blade is more all/def than off but kiso hinoki = good for looping too
