I agree that the score should have won. However, it would be hard for it to get best picture , not because it’s from a Christian book, but because children’s movies rarely are even considered for best picture, much less do they win.
Same here, although it’s somewhat of an historical inaccuracy - lance-cavalry would have brought them down at the moment they set off. Made for a brilliant piece of action, though! ;)
i can't be the only one who gets this feeling in their gut at 0:37 and on. it's just so amazing, it moves me, it's weird, I get that with some music. this is my favorite movie series EVER. I swear when I was listening to this, I knew what was happening on screen at every part in the music. am I the only one? am I just weird?
6:25 the deep magic. Narnia made me childhood and I always tremble every time I hear this song, it seems I'm ready to go to battle. Narnia teaches values and warms the heart. "In your world I have another name" For Aslan and Narnia!
Walden Media lost the rights to the series after the third one. Disney stopped producing them after the second movie and Fox didn't market the third movie very well. Netflix has the rights to the book series now.
This brings back the most beautiful memories. As a kid, reading the books for the first time, heart accelerating, breathing quickning...there is nothing more beautiful. I remember crying when I finished the books.
***** In all sincerity, that was the best book in the series. But the timeline is so long. I feel like they are going to change too much. I hope Andrew Adamson directs it.
I feel same bro. When I listen to this music I remember my childhood when I was 9 and watched Narnia for the first time. I will cry when I think about how long time ago it was :( I am 21 now and I really miss my childhood.
I don’t know exactly why but this song makes me wanna cry, smile, run, feel a breese of a impetuous air at my face. The way it is so intense, so misterious, so emocional... it’s beautiful. It’s of a majesty so big that is capable of touch deep down our soul and give you a need to live a unique adventure... it’s especial, in a really remarcable way.
Of all the variations on the main theme, 4:05 hit me the hardest. It's like the very embodiment of nobility itself, true nobility - comprised of the spirits of honor, valor, camaraderie, selfless sacrifice, trust, and unconditional love. Anyone who've had someone in their life that they loved, looked up to as a hero, who sacrificed for them, who they would do anything for and would do anything for them, could relate to this I think. It's dignified and sublime, symbolizing that nobility starts off as little, simple feelings of fellowship and connection deep within which can turn into life and world changing acts of heroism by bringing out the best in each of us. Amazing what music can convey.
I think it would be so awesome to get a bunch of random people to listen to sound tracks like this and have them describe how it makes them feel. Then show them the part of the movie that the music came from, and see if the music accurately reflects the scene's mood with just sound. For me, this soundtrack screams, heroic, sad, tense, death and glory.
Believe me, I’d love NOTHING more than to geek out over amazing film soundtracks with a group of people who are just as much of a geek about them as I am. I haven’t yet met anyone in person who appreciates this particular one as much as I do.
@abby4510 abby4510 Pirates is brilliant, but I don’t know the other two well enough to have an opinion, but what I DO remember from “Dragon” is great :):)
Jennifer, I have been listening to this track (and everything composed by Harry Gregson Williams) over and over again all day and night. I just can't get enough of it. He is magnificent, he is the most talented composer in the history of humanity. Do you agree? I used to intoxicate myself with Mozart's Requiem like this for years.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
When someone needs inspiration, the he must listen to this beautiful masterpiece... To feel ready to charge in the battle ahead, to destroy their enemies and be victorious, to fight for a king, a cause, for his home, his family....
Its more than a decade since I watched this movie with my cousin, and I still find myself in awe every time I watch a clip or listen to the ost. This is part of my childhood, and always will be.
JRproduction101 I was about to start my last semester of college back then- now I am going to be 31 early next year. I am still waiting on the fourth movie after seeing the previous one when I was in my late 20's.
JLC31383 I'm never a reader of Narnia novels though but I heard that the fourth movie will be a story about the "Silver Chair", it is going to be a prequel. Well.....I don't know if the fourth movie is already in works now.......
JRproduction101 I have read all 7 books- but that was a long time ago and I have already forgotten them. That was a few years before these movies were even made. "Silver Chair" is actually the story that happens after "Voyage of the Dawn Treader". "Magician's Nephew" is the prequel because it is about the professor as a child and he actually witnesses Aslan create Narnia. They must continue going forward because the boy who played Eustace in the third film is not getting any younger.
This part always gives me the goosebumps and emotional tears 'cause the story is just too epic for a too imaginative person like me. I always picture myself as if I'm Narnian! Just wish I really lived there :'(
0:59 The choir is just amazing accompanied with the instruments here. It definitely deserves to be called the most overused word ever, (but true in this case): Epic.
OH MY GOD ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE IVE HEARD THIS! it was in my reccomanded, Narnia was my fav movie growing up and all of my fantasy and imagenation came from it... now i feel the urge to watch it
Still one of my favorite childhood movies! I love this soundtrack and i also love 1:32 wouldn’t you want that piece playing when your army is marching?
"Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight, At the sound of his roar, Sorrows will be no more, When he bares his teeth, Winter meets its death, And when he shakes his mane, We will have spring again"
"Are you with me?" To the death my lord" "FOR NARNIA! AND FOR ASLAN!" One of the best charges ever.
And the music gets even more dramatic.
Magnificent
Simply Magnificent
The ExplosiveEnderman That is not pathetic, that just shows how powerful that scene is.
Wakanda forever
Not as good as the one/s in Lotr Return of the King.
The prancing pony Rohirrim
Years later and 0:37 still give me chills
Yeah
"Are you with me?"
"To the death."
FOR NARNIA, AND FOR ASLAN!
'That's impossible...'
Wickedsharkz Nah! your all alone buddy!
for Aslan!
for Islam!
FOR ASLAN!!!!!!
18 years ago since narnia movies was released and narnia soundtrack still give me goosebumps
Yeap
It’s been that long???
Странно но у меня тоже мурашки по коже от музыки в хроники Нарнии, ей богу в ней чоо то волшебное и пробуждающее!
I feel so old listening to this. I was 8 when it came out.
Yep. Same here dude.
+No Way I was 6 old and it was the first live action movie that i got to see :)
I was 4...
I know that feel bro
+No Way I was an old man when it came out .... imagine how I feel now. And I still love the soundtrack.
I still dont understand why this didnt get an oscar nomination for best original score.
neither do i
They were nominated but they lost against Brokeback Mountain but the won the Oscar for best MakeUp
I agree that the score should have won. However, it would be hard for it to get best picture , not because it’s from a Christian book, but because children’s movies rarely are even considered for best picture, much less do they win.
the critics must be deaf
I'm deaf and I know how great this soundtrack is...
5:21 The moment the centaurs lowered their lances to charge. Goosebumps every time.
At 0:37 I'm literally the same, this music and books are stunning.
no and no
when the song starts to get to the amazing part. this is only the beginning of the adventure.
4:10 and on
THAT AWKWARD WHEN THE WORLD ENDED AND YOUR FIGHTING JUST TO BE ALIVE
I NEED TO REWATCH THIS MOVIE. _NEED_. LIKE, RIGHT NOW.
Seva Xu Lol, me too.
If that ain't a mood, I don't Know what is XD

0:37 is the best part of the whole movie!!!!!
Yes!!!!
KALIMAindia
Do you know if they play that part in the other two movies at all?
LOTR_Disneylover62 In the second, I think?
Yes, it is.
I loved the battle most
Let’s all be real,we all wanted to go to narnia as kids and we still do
I will go one day!!!🤣
Always
Of course. Nothing has changed several years later and it never will change.
Absolutely
Yep especially the "we still do" part
6:25 the deep magic. Narnia made me childhood and I always tremble every time I hear this song, it seems I'm ready to go to battle. Narnia teaches values and warms the heart. "In your world I have another name" For Aslan and Narnia!
3:03 Such a beautiful piece, the entire score is a masterpiece, but this part just gives me such a sense of awe and wonder only Narnia can give.
Meeeeee toooooo
this part is so epic that i want to stand up and hold sth like a sword and point it in the air
I recommend you listen to Howard Shore's LotR/HOBBIT score. Those I would define as the quintessential fantasy soundtracks.
omg I agree completely that part is the best
J. M. It gives me the Chills but in a good way 😉 makes me Think about life and honor / proudness 👍
What ever happened to Narnia man I feel like everyone forgot about it
I know everyone may forgot about it, but I dont
Walden Media lost the rights to the series after the third one. Disney stopped producing them after the second movie and Fox didn't market the third movie very well. Netflix has the rights to the book series now.
@@KrisFrost4359 Oh no. Netflix manages to wreck some of the best stories. I hope they get this one right if they do it.
But I confess I'm not prepared to see Narnia be destroyed. And Suzanna be left behind. Those are the things then very hurts me in the books.
I didn’t nor did I loose my childishness in order to go to Narnia
Played this song when I was studying last last minute. Felt like I was going to war. For Exams! And For Degrees!
well? did you fail?
dear lord i'm in this same situation right now lmaooo
Nora Zulkifli I wish I felt this way about studying...LOL

FOR EXAMS!! AND FOR HOPEFULLY NOT FAILING!!
When Asalan bares his teeth,

This brings back the most beautiful memories. As a kid, reading the books for the first time, heart accelerating, breathing quickning...there is nothing more beautiful. I remember crying when I finished the books.
Wow, exactly me
When Mr.Tumnus comes back at the end, i cringe cry
Me too... Crying because they are so beautiful and because I was so sad when there was no next book to read...
This is a very good orchestra song. I never get tired of listening to it. "For Narnia! And for Aslan!"
迫力が凄い。
この映画は小学生の頃よく見てました。
海外にしか出せないオーラの曲ですね。
大好きです!
ありがとう😊
Wut
Da hier jeder in seiner eigenen Sprache reder: Hallo, ich mag Narnia lol
I want another Narnia film
they are going to make one
search for Narnia "The Silver Chair"
***** In all sincerity, that was the best book in the series. But the timeline is so long. I feel like they are going to change too much. I hope Andrew Adamson directs it.
Fam Min and the twist is soo obvious for those who read the book already. Hope it still amazes me.. waiting to see characters like puddleglum :)
But Mark Gordon said it going to be a 'Brand New Franchise', Different Directors and an Entire new team! Andrew Adamson is not coming back.
From what I remember reading as a kid, the coming films, if based on the books, won't be that good.
Narnia: "Are you with me?"
Me: "To the death".
Narnia, I miss you so much!!
I feel same bro.
When I listen to this music I remember my childhood when I was 9 and watched Narnia for the first time. I will cry when I think about how long time ago it was :(

This movie is overdue for a rewatch I showed this movie to two kids one 11 years old and the other 7 years old. They both loved it.
5:32 Aslan roar🔥🔥🔥and this is one of the best background score ever composed😍✨
I have no regrets that I have memorized this whole scene.

This is by far the most incredible and best “battle” score in the history of movies.
Not sure about "best", but it's definitely in my top 10.
Narnia reminds me of how beautiful paradise is going to be ,God bless
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2
La carga emotiva que puede llevar una melodía tan exquisitamente compuesta es sorprendente
Ive listened to it a thousand times but it’s still magical
Most favorite parts 3:04 & 4:36
I always have goosebumps listening to those!!

Best part has to be from 1:32 where it turns dark/epic-who wouldn't want this playing as you March your army up? :))
