- Come explore the secret side of Budapest in District XVIII. Most people just know this as the district with the Budapest Airport, but I can assure you it is so much more than that. If you are looking to get off the beaten path and check out something authentic, then look no further than the place that they call Pestszentlőrinc-Pestszentimre.
In this video we wander through the Pestszentlőrinc side of the district which also happens to be Budapest's largest. It didn't become part of the city proper until the great expansion of 1950 when Budapest increased from 14 districts to 22. Now the count stands at 23, which just so happens to be the same number of sub-districts contained within district 18.
This adventure got off to a rousing start as we stumbled upon a local brewery, before making our way to the Havana housing estate, wandering through the gorgeous and dynamic Bokay Garden where we encountered tons of friendly locals, and afterwards heading over for an all you can eat bonanza on üllői út. We finished things off with a trip to the halmierdő and finally stumbled upon the two lions pub right before heading home.

You missed the Büdi - tó, 'Stinky - Lake' near Lakatos - telep. (Nowadays it's not stinky at all.) It's really nice on spring - summer, water lilies, ducks etc. In the 18th district there are many things to do.
