    Knowing how great of a rider Sam is really puts this terrain in perspective. I was thinking "holy crap!" the whole video!

      In person it's just nuts. 😳 I can't walk this stuff, let alone ride a bike in it.

      @@TrialsProgression 30 years ago I might have attempted it. These days a 4 foot ledge is my limit.

    That looked extremely gnarly. From the camera angle (you wearing it) we can see how high Sam needed to get on some of those rocks and we can see how slippery it was. Congratulations to both of you for however you finished. That was a tough loop. I for one am impressed.

      Thanks. He finished last in the pro class, but probably 1st on having fun out there. 😉

    Man that looked tough. No matter what it threw at Sam he just kept at it. Many people would have tapped out, but he just kept getting back on the “horse”. Amazing and inspiring.🍻

    Sam is definitely one of the most emotive pro riders out there, great fun to watch.. I always knew what he was feeling. The camera just doesn't give any clue as to the size of these obstacles, they are huge, intimidating, difficult and the penalty for failure at this level is painful at best, dangerous at worst. Awesome filming, thanks for sharing!

      Thanks. Yes Sam is a fun one to ride with for sure. You are right, until you are up there trying to catch or staring up at the ledge, it's hard to ever understand. And it was quite dangerous at times.

      @@TrialsProgression I've had people tell me , after describing trials riding to them, " That's for children. " Then I show them a Toni Bou video. Then they say " You people are freaking crazy !!! "

  • @michaelmangrum5460
    @michaelmangrum5460 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow these rocks are crazy !!! I've never had the opportunity to ride on this type of terrain. If trials bikes had seats I bet there would be lots of pucker marks after this event.

    • @TrialsProgression
      @TrialsProgression  ปีที่แล้ว

      😆 yep, lots of pucker moments for sure. Check out the videos on factory one or natc of this event! Really tight edits and better understanding of the lines

      @@TrialsProgression I already have. Lots of tense moments for catchers too. It takes a special kind of crazy to stand still while a maniac flings a motorcycle at you ! There's a lot of trust in that.

    Great fun, minding is a lot harder than people would think. You did good 👍 I was going to ride the ride island event, had to change plans at the last minute. Are you riding the national in Quebec end of September ??

    • @TrialsProgression
      @TrialsProgression  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. No, I'll be staying at our local events for the rest of the season.

      Ray Peters said it was the hardest national in 4 years probably and the scores showed it too.

    that spot looks world class. the 360cam footage turned out super well, does it take quite a while to edit it with all the panning and zooming?

    • @TrialsProgression
      @TrialsProgression  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and good question. It does take a bit longer since I have to decide where to have the camera aim and the zoom level for each clip. Then put it all in the timeline for edits and voiceover. Not quite 2x as long as normal maybe 🤷🏼‍♂️ so much better than standard GoPro though since sam's moving so much I'm confident I'll get him in frame regardless of where it's pointing.

      @@TrialsProgression yeah for sure, did you try out the different 360 camera options? It’s to bad they don’t have a higher resolution ones for the far away zoom ins. It doesn’t look terrible but there’s definitely a quality loss on the far ones

  • @sharilynsmage6122

    Belle riprese e prove... purtroppo il grandangolo non rende la realtà in questi casi
