Hey good folks! First I want to apologize for the long pause! Ever since Christmas I've had numerous health scares around in my family but amazingly enough it seems like everyone is going to be ok! Eventually my mental strength came back and I had enough focus to start making a video again. In this one I make a townhouse specifically for Mordheim but the techniques can easily be adopted for games such as D&D, Frostgrave, Warhammer Age of Sigmar etc. I really like the end result and please watch to the end of the video for a bit of an announcement! 😅😉
Please feel free to comment your thoughts below! Stay safe and lots of love to you all! 👍💙💛💙

What a fantastic build! My favorite part is the decorations on the house in the middle. Good to hear that you are feeling better!
If people think they cannot follow along with this awesome tutorial because they are on a budget here are some material alternatives:
    - Double or single corrugated cardboard instead of the foam board
    - Cardstock strips instead of coffee stir sticks
    - Sand + PVA instead of the texture paste (already mentioned by Leif in the vid)
    - Sand from the playground instead of the Army Painter product
    - double corrugated cardboard clad in cardstock for the big wooden beams on the outside
    - toothpicks to decorate the windows instead of Lego frames

I've been playing Mordheim since it came out. So far this has been the best video on the internet that covers this game and, it's terrain functionality aspect that people forget or don't quite understand!!! it isn't like "40k" terrain. Mordheim has to utilize it's terrain to the fullest!!!
You've captured the very essence of this game so far and id love to see more done by you!!! Only question i have is using "Foam core" did it warp on you using all that glue?
Also one thing i noticed you making Terrain you totally get is your "offset buildings" making different!! thats awesome!! Please continue you're Mordheim content!!!!

Looks really great and still it looked simple enough to encourage me to try this out. I recently started a Mordheim Campain with some friends. That is probably the reason youtube threw this video at me. We have a lot of Terrain pieces but they are all made out of printed cardboard. the price was ok... the look is ok... but this looks really great. nothing beats selfmade terrain. im trying to replace the cardboard stuff little by little and shurely this channel will have influence on this.

    Outstanding.
A good addition to these kinds of ruins are more strangely proportioned buildings. Such as ones with shapes of obtuse or acute triangles (the result of being built around streets that intersect at odd angles). Or tiny/irregular "spite houses" that nestle between or jut from the side of larger buildings. Or two buildings connected by a corridor suspended over an arched alleyway (intact bridge optional).

I really really really wish GW would bring back mordheim in the same vein as they did necromunda. I know that all the old rules are available online, but finding someone to play it with is a different story, and bringing it back with new model releases would definitely inject a renewed interest in the setting and game. Always seemed like such a cool game I wish I had gotten into and played more back in the day.

Question: I printed the templates from your DropBox resources to A4 size.
Is A4 the same ratio you use when you glue them onto foam core board and cut them out as a stencil? Or do you size up at all to A3?
Thanks in advance and hope you see this on a one year old vid! 😅

Thank you so much man! One thing though, the Mordheim game IS TERRIBLE in my humble game designer of 20+ years. It does not give a correct image of the tabletop game imho.
