- We have arrived in the beautiful high Tatras mountains here in Slovakia and it's honestly one of the top things to do here in the country.
We checked into the most insane hotel - the Grand Hotel Kempinksi where we will be spending the weekend at.

After breakfast we headed out on the water by rending out a red boat on the lake to just take it all in with the best views of the lake and mountain.
We then rented out some bikes, cycled out to a Popradské pleso to have some local tomatoe soup.

Guys, you can't cheat your way out of the Tatra mountains like this. Leave the car and the e- bikes at the hotel grab a backpack and go see the mountain huts, one by one. I feel like you missed out on something much more exciting and beautiful...
INCREDIBLE! I'm livinig in Slovakia and people there are hating this country. Exploring the nature is for them boring. Slovakia is a beautiful place to be, but not for a long time. But I'm blessed that you think Slovakia seemed to be an interesting country and good for relaxing. So excited for new videos! Have a nice trip!

Beautiful, only a shame you did not have more time to explore Tatras a bit deeper as you basically stayed only around this hotel, there is much more to see in Tatras but yes I get it you would need at least 8-10 days. Slovakia is full of beautiful stuff, but also full of shit and scammers. You have to be careful or lucky to pick trip like they did. But it's worth it, I promise.

Around this time last year I stayed Slovakia for a day on my way from Budapest to Prague and just like you I was blown away by its beauty, it is definitely an underrated country and I will surely be back one day! Also, stumbled upon your channel a few days ago and have been binge-watching your videos since, keep up the good work I'm in love with your content.
I used to work with a lovely Slovak girl and she would rave about the Tatras Mountains. I can now see why.

I dont (ever) comment on youtube but I do have to express my opinion about your videos about my homeland - Slovakia. They are simply so honest, happy and kind. You tried to really pick up the best of all that places, visit them with joy and smile and you really spread out that energy towards everyone watching it. Honestly, sometimes I dont like my country and I keep saying bas words about that but watching your videos made me feel proud where Im coming from and value what it is around me.

The High Tatras are so beautiful. I stayed at that hotel, it is the best hotel in the whole country! Keep revisiting Strbske Pleso, as it is such a unique place. Loved the video guys!

Are you guys sure that the "fog" is not clouds? When you are up that high you see clouds early in the morning that low.
At 3:00 in the video is it really fog but at 4:51 that are clouds :)

10 years ago I went along the trail from the Polish side of the Tatra Mountains ( Łysa Polana) to Štrbské Pleso. It took me all day. The trail is demanding and dangerous but the views are spectacular. The highest peak on the trail is the highest peak in Poland.

You have to go to lomnicky stit. its the second highest peak in the tatras
Booked to climb Lomnicky Stit 12 or 13 Aug this year covid willing. Can't wait. Beautiful and accessible mountains.

Slovakia is absolutely higher on my bucket list than it was previously, wow!!! 😍 I was completely blown away by all I saw of India, particularly Varanasi! I knew I would enjoy myself but experiencing India for myself was more incredible than I ever imagined!!

Slovakia went from a country I knew nothing about except it's name, to 4 of my favourite people on social media being there this month. Those high Tetras mountain are AMAZING!! Slovakia is definitely on my list, and way up the top of it too! Beautiful, can't wait to be one of the few Australians there, although hopefully more of us go.
I took my Australian friend to this lake IN WINTER haha She loved all that snow and the scenery.
I was lucky enough to live there for 2 years. My family and I miss it everyday. It truly is one of the most underrated countries (Croatia being #1, but that is changing). Glad you guys are making this series and highlighting how beautiful it is there.
I always love your videos but this Slovakian series has been beyond - especially enjoying the classical music over the grand drone shots. It might also be that I haven’t seen much about Slovakia so it seems very exciting.

My son and his Slovak wife actually live in the High Tatar’s right near that lake. The village up there is named Strbske Pleso . Visiting them and my grandchildren is a special treat!

So far (so far!) I've only visited the Tatras from the Polish side - I was with my (Polish) g/f in a lovely traditional wooden house on the Gubałowka Ridge above Zakopane...wonderful mountain views until the snow arrived :-( Then we were pretty much cut off for a couple of days - eventually manged to slip and slide along the icy mountain roads (lots of teeth-gritting!), down to the main road to Kraków. From there, overnight train to Szczecin and thence with a local train back to Berlin. Been promising myself a trip to the Slovak Tatras for some time - my g/f is confident that Polish and Slovak are close enough linguistically that communication will be no problem.

Anyway, Patricia, Ďakujem veľmi pekne! (Thanks very much!). I know in the summer months there is a bus service from Zakopane to Poprad, and that there are other ways of getting there. I have some experience of the languages - I worked as a guide in Berlin until I retired, and once there was an Australian group - Slovak bus and driver, Polish tour-manager - he was speaking Polish, the bus-driver Slovak - and they understood one another perfectly! My g/f also understands Ukrainian and although she has horrible memories of Soviet times, she loves the Russian language and can speak it fluently!
All of the high tatras are so beautiful. I stayed in a hostel in Zdiar which also has such a great view and amazing hikes.

I've been to Polish Tatras in the past and absolutely loved it (of course I'm a bit bias being Polish myself) but this really made me wanna visit my neighbours =) Slovakia looks amazing, plus the language is super cute

Be careful when flying with drone and shooting with them in the EU especially in SVK, laws aren't the most friendly.

After watching this series, Slovakia is at the top of my bucket list 😍
It’s a pity that you couldn’t stay longer in High Tatras. There are so many bautiful hiking spots with unbelievable views. You can also go to the 2nd highest peek which is over 2000 m above sea level. And a hotel is build there! And fun fact only people that stay in the hotel will ever have picture of the sunset. Because last cable car leavs from the top befor sunset so everyone has to leave by that time.. except for the hotel guests :-) also in High Tatras is a sidewalk build above tree level. So you basically look on the tip of trees from above :-)
You guys are right... so much like Canada. Montenegro was like that for us.... not idea what to expect and just loved it. Definitely add this to our list.
