It's sad though, that Sergey and Melia had to compete in the era of M-J (Michael and Joanna) and R-Y (Riccardo and Yulia). Without those two great couples, Sergey and Melia could have dominated Latin. Simply unique and brilliant Latin couple for me.

Yes, one f the very best to ever grace the Blackpool dance floor. He is the epitome of what a good male dancer should be. So solid and masculinely expressive yet so caring and gentle. The love for each other is so evident in those tender moments. This was one of the truly great partnerships in what was a golden era of dancesport Latin dancing and those who were around to see them and those other magnificent partnerships during this period can feel privileged indeed. All class and style with astonishing charisma. Thanks DSI for posting this. It brings back wonderful memories and joy for me.

@@bobbidazzler1343 Hi Fiona. Thank you. Only for sheer bad timing with the dominance of Brian and Carmen, Sergey and Melia would have been world champions. Anyway that's all in the past but i love watching them dance together. Trying hard to ignore the fella but I find him an unscratchable irritation. He clearly has problems imo. Thanks for replying, I hope you are keeping well during this awful pandemic. Lets hope a solution is isn't too far off. Take care.
