Wait, Is it possible to WATCH the full episode? Or do i need to just play the audio? I get a lot of podcasting grew on audio only for commutes and whatnot, but/and my reason for paying money is to watch the actual show, not just hear the audio. It was great when i commuted 100+miles a day. But now I'd like to actually see who is speaking.
In 8th grade, my friend would record Daria for me on her VCR and give me the tape at school the next day. Good times. God I'm getting old. I still rewatch Daria to this day. Literally this day, I just checked TH-cam after finishing rewatching The Teachings of Don Jake, and bam, here we are.
@Ben Florez she’s not someone YOU want to idolize. Explain why I don’t want to idolize an outcast who didn’t care for the stupid fads or trends of her day, was smarter and more clever than anyone else in her class, and always kept herself level-headed in bs situations.
I watched it when I was super young, then again when I was a teenager. It's timeless, I'm glad to hear teens today still resonate with it. I'm 27 now, it's still a show I pull from for inspiration.
Interesting thing is that it was the network that suggested Mike Judge to create a smart female character and it was one of extremely rare cases when a suggestion of non-writers actually had a positive result.
My buddy did all the artwork for the show...except the characters lol. He worked on tmnt and Clifford the big red dog. He showed me where they did Daria and celebrity death match...it was rad! He teaches art classes on Long Island now :)
more! I need more! I miss Daria so much! this looked like a fantastic interview and I can't wait to watch the whole thing. I still catch myself humming the theme song sometimes or quoting Daria-isms to myself haha

I'm 17 years old when I was younger I heard about daria but my parents didnt let me watch it. Now I can see whatever I want and I love it.
