Yes, Henley is a master lyricist. I've heard Don Felder talk about his time with the Eagles and how amazing Henley was with lyrics. He (Felder) was in awe almost constantly.

Excellent production. Great reverb for the guitar and tone for the synth. Vocally, the chorus was very clean. I grew up with the Atari's full Punk Rock n' Roll gain filled growl 20 years ago.

Props to the drummer for keeping this hellish groove, not easy to reproduce what was played by a programmed LinnDrum!
Being a drummer trying it to play this song: Yes, it's hellish difficult. The song belongs to those "easy listening" ones - until you try to play it yourself.
