It's about time to go back, no, not to MONKE. It's time to go back to 1699 aka the 1700s but in HOI4. Yes that's right we are going to be playing HOI4 in 1700, in this new awesome mod called Empire which recently got a new update, that being the 0.3 updated named Carolus Rex because it brought changes to the Great Northern War which was a really big conflict in this time period. This mod is very similar to EU4 and you could say it takes a lot of ideas from Europa Universalis. As someone said it in twitch chat, it's the bridge between Hearts of Iron 4 and Europa Universalis 4. It connects the 2 time periods and kinda teaches both of the games in the mod. This mod is in super, early alpha stage so it has a lot of potential to grow but for now there's a lot of gameplay elements such as colonization, story line wars about this time period, completely different tech tree, bunch of new focus trees for certain countries and it has Prussia. And with Prussia, what else is there? SPACE MARINES! PRUSSIAN DISCIPLINE! WOOOOOO! EVERYONES FAVORITE BONUS THAT'S DEFINITELY BALANCED WOOOOOO! But yeah in Prussia's Focus Tree, the goal is basically to unite and form Germany, depending on what path you want to choose. It seems like one of the most fun countries for this mod so far, even though apparently it hasn't been fleshed out that much yet. BUT PRUSSIA TO THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON! ANYONE ELSE WITH ME!? LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

is it actually good? i tried to play EU4 but never got into it.. there was a HUGE learning curve and i simply quit after some tries and uninstalled... but i was actually recommend with Victoria 2 so i am gonna try it soon
@@Ronald98 i got into eu4. It's like a sharp curve for the first few hours, but then a steady curve.

Not really, Tommy is from Sachsen. They have a completely different culture than the Prussian and also the "Prussian" culture doesn't exist anymore, since after two world wars, the allies erased the typical mentality from Prussia (militarism etc.)

That historical war that starts near the start of this with Sweden is honestly a really cool story. Particularly how well Sweden did in the war despite everything being against them. Very impressive by them. (edit: and with their position it might be a fun nation to play)

This mod is basically for HOI4 players who want to play EU4 but with HOI4 combat

The thing about Prussia in this mod is that with maybe 5-6 armies you can take on a puppeted France, Britain and Austria plus several other small nations all against you and even kind of pushing you because with enough divisions your default template can charge through all of their division (At least 12 a tile)
Of course I found this out after forming the German confederation though, so I had more manpower and factories than Prussia has but I had to deal with almost no civ factories as the peasants would revolt occasionally, I won and just ended it there, not having built a navy to invade Britain

what he say is true. once you join the army, you learn about all the bs
the bonus to organization and artillery and everything make a lot of sense when you look at mid 19 hundreds prussia: The most organized and flexible military of the world, and the forruners in new artillery tech by quite a margin. Their handguns are rather mediocre, but the disciple of their soldiers tipped the scales in that regard back into their favour.
