    Good video. Cool tool. Thank you for reminding quilters that 'goose' is singular, and 'geese' is plural.

    THanks for the great tip for timing your oil maintenance by winding 5 bobbins each time you add oil ! Great idea ! I need one of these-- thanks for sharing-- By the way, love your fabrics! 👍

    I love the clearly perfect seam guide. I use it all the time. It beat drawing l the lines and changing out the feet all the time.

    I have one of these and while I understand how to use it as you showed it, I have never understood what all the other diagonal lines are for.
    Could you do a video on what they are for & how to use them?

      Yes me too. It seems if all you use it for is a 1/4 in seam or guide, painters tape does the same thing

    I ordered the seam guide over a month ago and it has been sitting on my table, as I wasn't sure how to attach it properly. Corey your video is fantastic and so explicit it made it very easy to attach and use. I found it so useful. I also loved your video on making the binding for pillows with machine sewing. Tried those and was very successful also. Thanks so much for your great tips.

    Hi, So, geese or goose...? it's geese. The shape of the geese part of the block mimics the shape of a flock of geese while flying.
    This guide looks like it should be added to my Christmas wish list. Thanks for the tutorial! Oh, and what a good idea the 5 bobbins to keep track of when to clean, oil, and change needle!

    My 2 Juki’s have shiny surfaces but the insert for the tables does not. I see these guides extend beyond the machine, can the be trimmed down?

    My machine doesn't have the extension table with the measurement markings on it, so it's a little hard to tell if the guide is on straight. Any suggestions on what I can line it up with? Great video!

    What do you do when needing a scant 1/4 inch seam allowance?

    • @FatQuarterShopTX
      @FatQuarterShopTX  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Lin! We recommend scooting it over about a hairs width from the line you are following.

    When do you NOT USE IT

  • @dcwatashi
    @dcwatashi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    1. Good tip aboutsnipping the thread at the top and removing the thread pulling downward through the tension discs did not know that.
    2. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use contrasting thread color when you are trying to show us something not white on white. 😁
    3. When using the normal quarter inch seam on those squares, we did not see the actual measurement of the squares before you sewed them together. Therefore I don't know if they made up the true finished measurement. I've seen other videos where they have to do a scant quarter inch in order to get precision pieces
