Crazy theyre getting rid of them after only 6 years, even as a recycler. One council down here re-did the floor of the bodies on the near 10 year old Iveco recyclers, still going strong. The fact that a driver had to ditch the new truck for one of these shows how much more suited these Accos are for the job, seems silly to replace them whilst theyre still running with trucks that do the job 10x worse. Cheers mate!
Its a little strange that the recyclers are being replaced already after only 6 years. Bout a couple of weeks ago I was around the Tuesday A zone off Waiora Road, I caught up with Greg, in which he told me that his truck was about to be replaced by an Isuzu. I didn't realise it was this soon... I've noticed just recently that the Gen6s 794 and 795 seem to finish before Greg and Craig, like already by 8am, majority of the bins in their areas are done or completely finished, especially the Heidelberg West/Heights areas. And just recently also, 90760 had its auto revs turned on. The new Isuzus seem to already be off to a bad start, haha. Must be a pain in the arse for those two to finish their runs at their normal times, no surprise that Greg had to switch to his old truck (Yeah, way better than his new one). At least that 794 and 795 are still going, for now... Has 90676 been replaced by the way? Ive noticed its still FT FOGO and im guessing its replacement may not be too far off.
Yeah not sure what the go is 90676, it’s the same age at 675 and 677 so I don’t know why it wasn’t upgraded too. Thought 759 and 760 would be around for another year but clearly not, they’ll get sold now. Banyule never keep their recyclers for long after they’ve been replaced. Switching from Iveco to Isuzu doesn’t seem to be going well so far.
@@banyulegarbo1558 The Isuzus are already going through issues which isnt a surprise (I do realise that its normal for a new truck to have teething problems) One of them was in the workshops today apparently and Craig had to take out 794 for his second load and theres a massive chop out at around the early afternoon because of this. I dont mind how these new trucks sound but it doesnt seem like the best choice of trucks was made
@@will823 Theoretically, there would be too many spares at that point. They already have 545-547, 550, 675 and 677. 676 will probably join the list too once its replacement is here.

Nice work and I’m pretty sure they will keep it as a spare or sell it

I feel like it's only going to be matter of time before they're going to carry out some mass bin replacements here.
Why do they keep replacing the trucks
And i assume this will now be a spare
Nah wont be a spare. I believe banyule doesnt keep the recyclers for long after theyre replaced
@@thiessgarbo2006 why
