Nowadays every youtuber wants to review the latest and the greatest - often out of reach products for a lot of people. So, your channel is a breath of fresh air. Also, very professional and informative!
Because of you I want one of these!
ANDY THAT GUY WAS AT WOODEND AIR ASSAULT..HE WAS SHOOTING AT 90yrds, WE WERE WATCHING HIS SHOTS THROUGH A CONTI SCOPE
I have one of these as the .22 SMK GEN 2 Regulated Synthetic - I love it - I can get about 3-4 mags out of it before a top up - the small tank suits me as I only hand pump it so from mid green on the gauge to 200 bar is approx 50 pumps - I found it likes the JSB 13.43gr pellets can get 5pence groups from it - heavier pellets seem to be all over- even at 25 meters - I fitted a Decimeter on it with an adapter - it is quite quiet - there is more noise from the pellet hitting my wooden back stop than the barrel - I opted for this gun as there are no tank filling shops anywhere near - so wanted something that could be managed with a manual pump - if you have a tank you could polish off a tin of pellets in no time - you really need a compact scope with these as a regular scope is the size of the gun !!
Hello mate, do you mind me asking which pump you got for this gun? Did you have to buy any other fittings etc too?
Anyone who has trouble with Chinese made mags in these should have a look at CARM mags, they are brilliant in Snowpeak/SMK/Artemis guns. Nice review of the ideal gun for the starter. They are also super-easy to strip and tune.
I've had one of these for around a year or two now, at the time I got it for £120 as a deal when it was released. Absurd accuracy for the price, even though I have a £600 PCP I still go back to this one. It's super light and accurate, couldn't ask for more.
How do you find the magazine?
I’m thinking of buying one
@@fatmarksyoutube1018 The magazine is absolutely fine, once you've loaded it a few times you won't think on it again. As for reliability, I've not had any jams or had any need to buy replacements.
Hi thinking about buying air rifle (pest control ) live on farm . Complete novice here dont fancy break barel can you recommend anywhere to buy genuine gun any help much appreciated thanks
Without a doubt yours is the best for informed and unbiased opinion. I have had air guns from the age of12. Now 75 with creaking bones and weaker muscles so many are too heavy for me. My loved Air Arms Pro Sport one casualty! This rifle, Victory Gen 2 regulated is the answer. I can still enjoy my hobby! The pump was a no go! Tried it and almost needed a respirator!! So I went for a 3 litre bottle and what a difference. Your other reviews of rifles cover those that I dream of and maybe those on my bucket list will be fulfilled with a lottery win!
Morning Andy, I'm the guy who popped into Vector Air a few weeks ago, thanks for the advice you gave me regarding the air rifle type that would be within my budget. I'm hopefully going to get to VA next Tuesday and get a rifle and all the kit. Thanks for the help 😊
Carl
I have the un-regulated original model and it is an amazing little shooter for the money. Had some build quality issues out of the box but i've found that over the years their quality has improved greatly. My only real complaint is the magazine and i heartily recomend getting an aftermarket version ( 3d printed ) which stopped random fliers and jams instantly.
Good advice.
I'm after my first PCP on a budget and would love to know if you have a link to the aftermarket magazines. My friend.
Cheers 👌
@@oteimoto85 Google "CARM magazines". He makes superb aftermarket mags, really good.
Where can we get the 3D printed magazines?
@@Steven-jn2cw Google "CARM magazines" . Highly recommended.

Thank you very much from Chile for this and all your most enjoyable reviews ! I am going to get the .22 version of this rifle this morning.
Hi Andy, I stumbled across your channel when I was researching to buy an Fac R-12. Now purchased in black pepper and hugely impressed and pleased with it .
I’m a pretty new subscriber and thoroughly enjoy your reviews and humour. I’m catching up with loads of your posts over the years and love the delivery and straight forward feedback and response s😂
Good stuff 👍
Phil.
I've had on of these for about 6 months and cannot fault it. Great review !
Thank you as always for the amazing vid.
I have the original CO2 version and have used it as a platform to play on. As in I have customized the fit and finish of the stock with a blue jean finish and shaped to fit me perfectly with barrel weights and some trigger adjustments alongside cleaning up all the internal components. I may continue with the conversion to pcp.
It is truly a joy to shoot. And cheep did I mention that I think somebody had...but with care and time it is worth far more to me than one ten times the price. Cheers all.
Great review as always, Andy. Thank you so much for doing what you do. And please be assured we love and appreciate you. 😊
Just bought one to add to my collection after this video and been told by another shooter who said it performed better than his £1200 r10, smile from ear to ear having put a few pellets down it👍
How many shots do you get from a full tank of air?
In .177 I get 4 mags 36 shots.
I have the co2 version . Really enjoy the feel of these guns , especially the cocking mechanism always feels great to load
Yet, another great review, on a budget PCP. They can be brilliant little rifles for the money, as you have shown. Cheers Andy👍
Well done, Andy. always a pleasure
Good morning Andy, these guns just get better and better, amazing for what they cost.
has that person in the comment of the week never heasrd of time zones?, if he gets these video's in the middle of the night, then he's not in the UK. Yet another great video Andy, keep 'em coming
Yeah, and I think that person in the comments doesn't understand TH-cam, it's not live TV :-/
Had one of these, the previous version that I put my own regulator in. It developed a leak after 3 months took it back, after another 3 months they couldn't fix it because there were no spares available. Got a refund. Mine was bad accuracy tried loads of different pellets. Reviewers always get the good guns.
Grateful for this! Just hard to figure out how to pump it
Love your energy man
Impressive and thorough review thanks 👍🏼
I have the co2 version, the pcp regulated version and the cp2, I really like these. As a FAC shooter who has given up due to the amount of paperwork and money involved these have really replaced the grin factor.
Thanks for the great review! Now iam really sure i will buy one!
Enjoyed your review and at a sensible time as well !
Another solid starter PCP. Great review as usual
Another great review and amazing shooting not only in strong winds but in the middle of the night too, much to annoyance of your neighbours 😂😅😂. Loving comments of the week please keep this going on your reviews
Hi there Andy thanks for this awesome review. I really enjoy this channel it tickles my need for some british humour (god i miss top gear) thanks to your review of the snowpeak m16 i decided to give the pr900 a try and i couldnt be happier. Since im from mexico i cant get most of the rifles you review but its nice that we can share this chinese goodness
Got my lad one but the Diana stormrider branded version. Have to say it's a brilliant little rifle and light enough for his little arms. He still has eyes on my gamo gx40 but is learning to shoot really well with this.
That takes me back? The music at the end, when call of duty was great.
Thanks Andy a great review as i have the first version of the p900, i think its time to upgrade to the version 2, as always thank you for awesome review , Ryan Joseph Richardson from South Africa
You really are a good shot Andy, I watch all your videos you make it look easy.
It is when you have a decent air rifle!
I bought this gun with the wooden stock after watching this video and it is brilliant, I have also got the Veyron scope on which has turned it in to and a first class gun.
im sold on it. im getting one. thanks for an awesome review
What a great way to present review and I liked your British accent
Hi Andy ,another great video, nice to see some manufacturers are producing these guns at an affordable price for those who wish to get into our great sport but are on a limited budget a big thumbs up to these companies 👍
Thanks for sharing ANDY what GREAT VALUE and accurate 🇬🇧👍🏼
Got a .22 PR900W with a homemade plenum and Huma regulator, about 1fps standard deviation over two mags,
The valve system is really well balanced as it had an amazingly flat shotcurve before I installed the regulator as well.
I modified the trigger to something similar thats on the Gen2 but better, G2 has the same trigger as the CP2 so
not great but usable. My gun now has a super crisp 2-stage trigger albeit the first stage is a bit hard but no creep
what so ever. :-) I put a Veyron 3-12 FFP on it to keep it a nice light compact package, the precision on it is the same level
as the gun you just shot.
Thanks for another informative review Andy! Big thumbs up!
Can I ask did you make the plenum or buy it
@@Theshropshireratter I put a piece of aluminium in my lathe and made one because the one made by Huma has no thread to mount the pressure gauge and I like to use the gauge that was already mounted on the rifle to fill the hole in the stock. I have a second gauge on the front on the pp800 fillport i fitted to keep track of the air left in the tank. should work just fine with the Huma plenum and pp800 fillport but I have a lathe and some aluminium so...🙂
WOW, IF THE COMPANY SORTS OUT THE MAGAZINE ACCURACY, GAME CHANGER FOR SURE, SHOCKINGLY ACCURATE LITTLE GUN, AND IN THOSE CONDITIONS, OVER 4OYRDS, I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THE SAME RESULTS SHOOTING MY HW100. BRILLIANT REVIEW., FROM SURREY.
One word review - Wow!😊
Incredible that a 250 quid PCP is regulated and so accurate. My 1998 Weihrauch HW90K still holds its own at the range. I also use a Gamo Phox ( only investment in PCP) I wish I had known about this PCP
Hi Andy thanks for the video. I have the 'Diana' CO2 x3 version of this. I think it's a brilliant starter rifle and garden plinker.
Realistic priced shooting, nice one, I'm along the lines of just because you may have the most expensive set up does not automatically make you a good shooter, and many of us have more than one gun, and most can easily out perform the user, good to see a manufacturer in the real world
Great little rifle, use mine for ratting and it's been perfect, likes qys pellets too.
Where did you get your shooting bench. Maybe a programme on benches as we’re getting older garden plinking is our main discipline. Jeremy
I have one and agree with Andy. The gun barrel of the PR900 is not 100% rigid. I have added an extra barrel band to make it more rigid. 👌👍
Good video, Andy.
Another Quality Review 👌👍
i got 2 a 177 artemis and a 22 snowpeak set at fac power (where its legal ) you get 12 shots before it falls under the reg, if the pellet is somewhat difficult to get in the chamber ,get the barrel out and bevel the chamber a little . and recrown the barrel to .i like this little guns ,they handle like a 22 lr
looking at starting shooting, this looks like a great option.
Hi Andy , wow whot a fantastic PCP at a bargain price ! ..... i think this rifle would suit most anybody from a new shooter to a collector /shooter like me ... Thank you very much for your hard work Andy ... Cheers Simon 😉🙃🙂
£250! That's a nice bit of kit for not a lot of outlay Andy. A nice option for those on a budget, have you ever done a comparison video on safe budget fill options etc for PCP's?
Love the budgets.
Te felicito desde Argentina... Te mando un abrazo grande... 😊
Excelente video. Un saludo.
Fantastic rifle, accurate as anyone could wish for at short range. Well built and solid reliable, this is what pellet guns should be. Only down side is the relatively low shot count.
j'aime bien le rire de satisfaction au premier tir 👍
Straight down the middle 😮
Well the creator is a great scope I bought one from optics warehouse for £90, and am very impressed
That should be cerato, damn spell checker
It's sad that Silencers scare American politicians. It's around midnight or so here and I always look forward to your videos.
Yeah, we’ve got American movies to blame for that. People genuinely think you can fire a gun with a silencer and know one will hear it, when actually it’s just there to stop you from going deaf! 😅
@benjbutton yes, Hollywood and the false cinematic narrative is used to control many easily influenced individuals here. I love California but also dislike this state at the same time. Life was much more enjoyable 30+years ago.
You can get an adapter, to change the threaded barrel end to 1/2" UNF, to fit standard moderators.
I like the look of the rifle, I like its weight, and I like its accuracy. I wish you'd told us where the fill port is and how many shots between fills. Not keen on the cheap looking magazines and that they affect the accuracy. Maybe not a deal breaker at that price but would persuade me to look at what else there is around at a similar price before parting with my money.
[Update] I found a photo of the rifle online, and the fill port is behind the pressure gauge, protected by a rotating sleeve.
Love the comment of the week. Now I'm wondering which english speaking former colony's education system is so bad that its people don't understand time zones ? 😉
Great video great shooting a great light not expensive rifle that many would on a budget like i like it to best regards
Great to see the viewer interaction at the end Andy 👍 just on a side note is there any chance you could review the next product in your underpants, yeh I know it’s a strange request but I just got this thing about middle aged men in underpants reviewing airguns
Still can't believe Andy hasn't review any Reximex quite simply the best budget air rifles on the market, the Pretensis and Myth are outstanding
awesome video and a reasonable price
i have the snowpeak m25 in .25 cal..cost me 350 euro's ,,it is amazing aswell ..i shoot 30 meter's whole in whole ..what i want to say is these gun's rock for the price ..you show this 1 wich cost 200 euro's and they do pritty well aswell for people like me with a small budget..Hunting ..plinking...target shoot.i am from NL so no restriction's..
Look’s very good 👍👍👍
UPDATE - I have had his gun a while now and tried many different pellets through it - they seemto like SMK own brand pellets - Spitfire Domes work great in mine - and for back yard target practice they are as good as the JSB I mentioned
- However - it seems to be - find a pellet & stick to it !!- even a slighht deviation in weight of the pellet requires the scope re - zeroed for that pellet - so I am going through all my test pellet tins one at a time to save keep messing on with the scope - Hope this helps out
had the unregulated one for over a year along with a kral np02 which was £130 more and given me more problems . for the money a good rifle
What distance was your target at Andy and what was the energy output with the QYS pellets? The 5 FPS spread was over how many shots and the shot count from full fill down to 100 bar?
Diana Stormrider comes to mind. That would have have been a great Rifle if it had been fitted with a regulator. Looking like wishes do come true. Great review as always Andy. 👍👍👍👍👍
there is the gen 3 regulator and a xtra barrelband
Exactly my thoughts, got the Stormrider for some years already and really like it. Looks good, feels good, shoots good.
You can add a regulator to the stormrider, it's not overly difficult and makes a great gun awesome 😂
I put a lane regulator in mine. Superb now sitting at 11.50 fpe with the heavy pellets to 11.05 with the lightest I could find.. as well as keeping it within the 12fpe rule it makes it so accurate I don't need to spend a fortune on new gun (which I like as I am a bit of a tight ar@e lol )
this is the same gun with a reg, just rebranding.. diana also dindt make the stomrider pcp. just bought it from china, it wouldve been 1000+ if it was made in germany. (like their first own pcp.. that prob wont sell very well.. hope they are doing some r&D over there though cause german brands are sleeping on pcp rifles at the moment..
I love my stormrider!
Amazing guns, just aquired a .177 synthetic, already have 2 Gen 1 in wood a Gen 2 and the grip cocking tacticle. But that went wrong and got a full refund.
My first version in .22 cost sub £200.00
Brilliant gun all round. In fact the big brother M22 I shoot at our range is putting down some notable scores on the leader board.
Now I have a .177 lets see how it performs matched with the QYS pellets.
Down side the mags are fussy, so I now have lots, load them at lesiure and shoot with a smile.
Great Video... I have question related to my Diana 36 I would be grateful if you could help me out. the break barrel is becoming more and more difficult to open. Can you please tell me should I lubricate the metal ball below the breech, it feels the mechanism or spring behind that ball is the reason I can't seem to open the break barrel. I have to apply a significant amount of force to open it, which was not the case previously. Also, can you please tell me what this part of the air gun is called? I couldn't find anything on TH-cam that guides me to lubricate or maintain this metal ball just below the breech. I would be very grateful for some insight and help.
can we have a review on HW97 please
Nice!
After trying to decide on a budget PCP and watching your reviews, I decided to buy a Victory "Badged" PR900 Gen 2. I really hope it lives up to what I'm expection. A little plinking, some Target & Bell Target shooting, then out in the field with a scope :-) Question is what to do with my HW35 ? Lol. Thanks for the entertaining reviews :-)
Hallo mr Andy may i ask you something; What is your opinion on most turkish break barrels like stoeger beretta? they are really budget friendly.
Andy, further comment to my Gen II weapon as per your review. The Trigger Weight IS NOT adjustable. I had a problem with the trigger pull weight adjustment screw backing out and then measured the pull weight, as I could feel any difference irrespective of screw position when it was replaced. I contacted Diana as its a new gun and was concerned there was an issue. Diana replied confirming the trigger pull weight for the Wood Stiock Gen 2 Storemrider is about 2 lbs and the adjustment feature is no longer operational for "safety reasons". This is not reflected in Diana literature or marketing claims, but they confirm the feature is disabled. Diana also claimed the internal regulator is same as their aftermarket part but it is not. Overall agree your comments, its a nice entry level airgun, and trigger is OK, but disappointed as always when a manufacturer and reviewers are making statements that are not correct. Not blaming you in this instance as who would check this feature normally, I probably would not have discovered if the screw had not fallen out after the first week of ownership!
This looks very similar to the Diana Stormrider. Is there much of a difference between the two?
Nowt wrong with that. 😊 Great review. Thanks Andy.
Cracking review Andy.And a really capable budget gun.Atvb 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Top review as always, I have just purchased a vector optics veyron 6-24x44 ffp and can't decide which gun to pop it on GAMO VENARI or Walther RM8 Vermont any suggestions 👍
For those wondering about the fill port, it looks like it's on the underside of the stock towards the trigger before the stock retaining screw. This is visible about 9 mins into the video.
It's at the end of the cylinder just behind the fill guage, you can see the hole for the fill probe there, that's where they have it on other models from Snowpeak/Artemis/SMK
the fill probe on these goes in a hole just behind the pressure gauge
Hi Andy, thank you for another fantastic review, really helpful foe me as I'm just starting. One question, snowpeak ps900 or crossman icon?
Can you give some more of your opinion on the scope you used here. (A full review perhaps.) I know it is a very budget scope. I would like to know how is the optics, is it acceptable clear for airgun use? Does it track OK and hold zero ?
Hi. U shots with single shot tray. Do u find any issues with the magazine that affected the accuracy?
Nice
Hey. Thanks. Would have liked to see a group using the 9 shot mag, as you raised a doubt with that setup?
Oh I wish we could have silences in Australia as you Poms are able to have.
No air rifle comes with a suppressor down under.
You lucky buggers.
Enjoy the video’s Andy 👍🏻
Hi I'm a new subscriber to the channel. I find your reviews in-depth, balanced and informative as well as very entertaining. Apologies if this has already been covered, is there any chance you could do a review on a Crosman 2300t? Thanks
I quite like this. Only a couple of things I'm not keen on. The bolt on the right isn't my preference and the gauge on the front is something I just don't like on anything.
I'm not personally daft enough to stick my head infront of a barrel but I'm sure having the gauge there is encouraging some to do so and if they are its only a matter of time.
My only complaint with this review, it made my bank account £250 lighter!!
Ended up going to Vector Air on Friday afternoon to collect one of these.
Maybe i buy this one. Seems to be very good one. I dont know who sell these in Finland tho...
Hi!
with the built-in regulator, can bar amounts give maximum power? In my country there is no joules limit. The factory says 275m/sec, is it real? Also do the first and last shot have the same power?
So I have now had my TWO PR900 gen 2s a year now to go with my BRK Pathfinder, CP2, and Nemesis PCP In my opinion the PR900 Carbine would be the PERFECT budget lightweight PCP traditional carbine getting 10/10 IF it had smoother indexing magazines . The fiddly magazines and reluctance to load smoothly (in 22 anyway) means I can only give it 9 out of 10.
How do you recharge these rifles and what is the cost to do so?. Do you need a expensive compressor
Great video what are the targets you use?
Diana Stormrider …. Artemis…. Same rifles I shoot the smaller gun version Diana Bandit…. that you tested some time ago
That's more like it....👍
