hello there i love your video well explained and surely well planed.i am planning to put these on my daihatsu mira 2015 and its a small car.its lights are next to nuthing soo what do you think about that.and for sure i am planning to put connecting clips for quick removal if not needed.
Just popped the gasket out a bit and stuck it through. Can also pop a hole in it and do it that way but it’s pretty thick and in an awkward position to do that.
nice truck man! great channel! i installed the exact ditch lights a little while back on my ram. they're crazy for only 3 diodes. Definitely gotta swap out the NCS fogs to the HXBs now hahaha!
I hope you make a video of the f150 switch panel install! I’ve got the same one and haven’t gotten around to installing it yet and a video would help motivate me
Not sure you know but you can get a program called forscan and program a bunch of different things like having your high beams and fogs on at the same time
Yes I am aware of forscan. Never got into it all though, but I’m sure would be really fun to change up a few things. Fogs staying on with Highs is definitely one to them.
Its a nice truck! Is that like a raptop front end or is that the stock hood, fenders. and front bumper? What year is truck? How has the 3.5L Ecoboost been for you as far as MPG's and also reliability? Have you ever owned a V8 F150 or other full size pickup? Im curious how you would describe it and compare it to a regular V8? Im looking into getting a pickup and i really like the Build you got going with this F150.. thats why i was asking. Looks really nice with the new lights! Super bright! Always had great luck with Morimoto stuff..
Thank you. No it does not have any raptor parts on the truck. 2015 and mpg is decent. I get around 15 or so. This is my first pickup so I don’t have much to compare to.
I just sold the truck. I'm looking at up gradeing lights for my 2020 Chevy 2500 HD. I need to chat with these guys on what the best light setup would be.
Cool build! I like the custom switch panel! Also BTW... The switches are just power in and power out like you said. Then the ground is for the LED. So for a light you would run the relays coil trigger positive to the Switch out and wire your selected 12V power source, to the Switch in. Everything else gets grounded. Then when the switch is enabled, power out from the switch out will be powered, and turn the foglight On.. Im guessing theyre labeled so you could do it in Reverse and therefore make the LED turn off when the switch is selected if that would make more sense for what youre using for..
What kind of fog lights do you have? Morimoto? They are about the same amber orange looking color as your DRL’s. I bought some amber orange looking film from Lamin-x to cover my fog lights and then put white LED bulbs in and it still doesn’t look as orange as I want!
As mentioned, camera doesn’t do them justice. It’s a ton of light. More than you’ll ever need. You can select your vehicle on the left when you select the banger off road lights. Multiple makes and options to choose from.
Can't decide between HXB or NCS. since you experienced both, which do you perfer? I like the amber color of the NCS more. If you had to do it all over again and with both fogs and ditch lights in the same output, would you go NCS or HXB?
I have a lot of experience with morimoto and they have proven to be reliable and a great source of aftermarket lighting for me. Never tried Baja so I can’t comment on it.
with forscan you can make it so the fogs stay on with your high beams. people call it bambie mode
Yes sir. Just don’t have access to anyone with forscan. Would love to code it for that though.
Yes , how do I do that plz
You can do it remotely. I've helped several people in other states.
Gawd i'm obsessed with this build man 🔥
Thanks! I’m slightly obsessed with it too haha.
It’s been awhile coming to your channel. Great work you’ve been doing on the truck. Clean and cool. Just here for the F150.
I'm 4 minutes into this video and just paused it to go spend some money....
Good choice! You won’t be disappointed.

They are a great addition to any vehicle. Enjoy!
a @Scoobyfreak86 have you seen daihatsu mira.its kinda small please have a look at the car on search then give me a honest review
wd be waiting for reply@@Autofreakgarage
Luv the mods. How did you feed the wire through the firewall? Was it easy? Any pics? Thanks.

brother, it looked very cool, it made me envious

Still sitting in the box. Haven’t installed it yet but one day I’ll get it installed.
7 months later, boss! Did you install it?@@Autofreakgarage
Ended up selling it off as I preferred the simplicity of the single button provided by morimoto.
I just installed one over the weekend. It’s real nice. I gotta find some more stuff to power. These ditch lights sure look promising
@@Autofreakgarageyou have a link to the item? Thxs
Thanks for the video. My lights will be here shortly...Question is that engine cover a stock cover?
Yes stock 3.5 Ecoboost cover
They look great with the black truck 👍👍👍
That thumnail candy
Wow. It’s a really really and very very nice set of lights.
Very nice! Those look amazing. Do you get a bunch of wind noise from these?
Not much if anything

I agree bro!! I have these on my GMC Sierra and they are awesome.
You have a picture?

Ur kit came with ditch a post bracket ?
Yes. There are vehicle specific brackets you order with it.
Cool build! I like the custom switch panel! Also BTW...

What is the link to light works you mentioned in the video as your go to spot for your lighting?
Lightwerkz.net
Awesome. Thanks brother. Love the content!
They look amazing!!!
Did you use any electrical tape or dielectric grease for the connectors on the ditch lights, for water getting on them?
No need. They are all waterproof sealed connections.
What kind of grill do you have e on your truck and where’d you get it

Great video thanks.
What camera are you using? Your low light footage is amazing.
iPhone 13 max pro 👍🏻
But the brackets and wiring is sold separately. I was just on there site looking at those lights.
can you recommend me the same product for the jeep avenegr or something similar! I can't find it anywhere
Any issues with drive through car washes?
I hand wash my vehicles
I aim mine sideways to see the sides of the trail when doing slow obstacles
How can you get amber to match headlights instead of yellow ?
I don’t believe morimoto offers an amber lens but you could possible tint them amber if you wanted.
How is that stubby antenna? Ronin? I’m thinking of getting one..any advice?
It’s been great! I just replaced it with a new one actually since the little carbon detail started to fade a bit. But it’s a nice antenna.

There didn’t seem to be much light on the hood, is that the case? I don’t see where to buy vehicle specific mounting brackets?
As mentioned, camera doesn’t do them justice. It’s a ton of light. More than you’ll ever need.
You can select your vehicle on the left when you select the banger off road lights. Multiple makes and options to choose from.
@@Autofreakgarage I think you misunderstood me. I was talking about light spill on the hood.
I see. No not much as you can position them to where you want. I have them aligned above the headlight cutoff so there isn’t any spill on the hood.
Link you posted no longer works can you update it?
Many thanks for the good info.
Looks like wide beam is available amzn.to/3zP3D6K

Both are the same color. But I would just go for the hxb all around. Just a much brighter light overall.
Link to the custom fx website for the switch panel?
kustomfx.net
I have the same lights, but I have pointed them outward and downward.
That’s what “ditch lights” are intended for, this setup is just another pair of high beams and not really the purpose of the lights.
how you conect those ditch light to auxbeam switch panel if someone knows?
You connected the lights to the battery isn't that going to drain the battery?
There is no current being drawn when they are off.
got he same dithc lights and lovethem too. Morimoto is hand down brighter and better than BD,DD and KC
Truck looks sick!
why not Baja Designs lights
I have a lot of experience with morimoto and they have proven to be reliable and a great source of aftermarket lighting for me. Never tried Baja so I can’t comment on it.
So cool 🎉❤
Don't do a light bar, do a pod bar
Looks awesome!!!!
Thanks Brett! Install video on the panel switch soon.
Nice!
Change your iwe check valve
Check my recent videos on the truck. Did that as well as both iwe’s.
Don’t make them for my 22 tundra 🤷♂️
Im sold..
You won’t regret it
My truck build is almost the same as yours lmao
Great minds think alike!
@@Autofreakgarage only thing I think is different is I got my tinted and don’t have the extra pod lights
Mine does have tint.
@@Autofreakgarage 15 on that?
Just got the fronts to match the factory rear.
Not too bright for oncoming ?😂
You don’t use these during oncoming traffic. Off road use only.
@@Autofreakgarage Thanks Scooby!😂✅
Is this UNIVERSAL?...
Yes. Just need to get the correct brackets for your application.
