I just created and uploaded this little DIATRIBE video. Man, I have been trying to get this record for 13 years now, it's very very obscure but thanks to Kalifornia Kerry*SPECIAL K* my blaster DJ friend I now have the album along with a few other goodies. Sorry the video aspect is sort of lame (it's just a still of the album cover) but I just wanted to share this song in a hurry.
Is this a custom mix of the song? I don't recognize that initial intro at all, and the mixing feels a little different. The vocals sound a little clearer than they do on the album version I have.
Also, their first EP may not have came out until '91, but they were active a year prior. Their first appearance was on A Reason For Living in '90 with Cockeyed Motherfucker. Also in the same year on From The Machine with the same song.
The “Hollywood is as glamorous as my ass” sample is from a Gruesome Twosome song “Hollywood Babylon Revisited”, which in itself is a remix version of their song Hallucination Generation.
Reminiscent of Ministry, Chemlab and Industrial strength mayhem in general, I believe it to be one of the very finest examples of the genre to date. I f listened to on high decibels you'll hear and feel the superior production of Diatribe's music....I think it's absolutely SICK. Again: LISTEN TO IT VERY LOUD. If you listen to it any other way you simply will not get it. I will be posting more of my video creations, several of them Diatribe. Hopefully I can put together some sick ones!
I wanted this band to find its way again. Great stuff. Live long brothers.
Been a fan of the now defunct band, Diatribe, for a long time now.
We need more bands like this, now. Great sound.
Awesome album from start to finish!!!i bought this cd back in 97,probably have listened to it over a million times, and still do!
I only like the first two tracks, this one especially is a killer. I mean it's not quite KMFDM.

@@maximilianwozniak1541 That doesn't answer my question though sadly. Is this a custom mix?
