You don't even need to do the egg, there's a place to teleport to just before this where you get multiple weapons including the forerunner shotgun and the gravity hammer
Perhaps this Easter egg is an homage to Bungie's IWHBYD skull Easter egg from halo 3? Perhaps (similar to halo 3's) the tower order represents the notes to a song? :o Neat find :D
Halo four was great (apart from the renewed covenant design) I like how they implemented the sprint, armor abilities, and the bolt shot overcharge and how they made the forge amazing

+Wesley Porter well not finding the hammer here you have to grab it while you get teleported to the room with guns , grab the hammer and when 3 crawlers are close to each other , hit them and if you kill 3 you get "chief smash" I recommend doing it at the bridge where cortana spawns the laser turrets to help you all the crawlers that come at you

you forgot to mention you need to kill 3 crawlers in 1 hit for the achievement to pop up
this should've been an achievement like Halo 2's Scarab Gun that looks like a plasma rifle.
