My hate for the Bionicle G2 was its lack of availability in my area. I like the concept and thought toa and beast looked great combined together
I really don't see the hate for these sets, this is what introduced to bionicle. and I love the more tech-y look. and one day I hope to get them all.

Both revamps do what the original set barely does, and that's let red be the primary color of the red one! Like, what happened here? I'm not saying gold and trans-neon orange pieces aren't welcome, but when you really look at the set, there's the red print on the gold torso, and two red pieces on the legs, and then you're more likely to swap the mask out for the gold one because it fits better with the overall color scheme since the red version of the mask has this blend with silver, and that's just going to really stand out in a bad way. May still be a cool set to play with, but they may have gone too far making Tahu Uniter the special boy he is.
I'd really like to have those golden shoulder pieces, the creature with tahu looks fire tho, (no pun intended).
I donno why people don't like the uniter sets? And tahu is beautifully awesome in this style!
While G2 came out a little after my time I still personally dislike most of G2 because of the forced color choices on the armor plates etc. the random blues or yellows just force you into either using a limited color palette that fits with those colors, having the piece just awkwardly stand out or simply not using a theoretically well fitting piece in your own build due to some needlessly added color accents.
Plus they just appear a bit too noisy/cluttered making them hard to read at first glance, again often not helped by the color choices nor by the for my taste excessive use of transparent pieces on some of em since those also make it much harder to read the form.
Especially those 3 beast sets are super cluttered just kinda straining on the eyes in my opinion, the Toa are a mixed bag with Lewa being the best looking and Tahu the worst imo.
While I still prefer Tahu Master, there is a lot to love with Tahu Uniter. There’s something about the addition of Dark Azure and the elements of his armor that gives me an almost Mesoamerican vibe to it.
4:08 my version has the og dark red color, the shield looks like a 4 blade motor and i even put flamethrowers on the blaster, all of that while keep it as close to the original as possible❤❤❤

the second revamp of tahu uniter made me think of the medium azure parts as being extra-hot blue flames (although im sure that wasnt the intention)
Judging by his mask, he was supposed to have a silver-red color scheme, but apparently something changed at the last moment

I don’t have any bionicle pieces but i do have a star wars set
My arm length has my hands hang to about that position on my hips, so, dunno about the point of realism? And he needs clearance for pointing the scissor blades down, too. I think they're the right length, longer would be too lanky i feel.
I person teally liked the 2nd wave of g2 bionicle it really felt like they made an effort to make it look more like og bioncle with the less smooth armor. Shame so many og fans were already turned off by it by then
