i guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my login password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
First of all, this video was perfectly done, thanks for explaining. One more question, can we use tar format file directly in GIS? or not Also i require data from 1990 , and when i select Landsat 8 or 7 it doesn't give any result. it only gives result for landsat 4-5.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! You can't use a TAR file directly, but you can convert it using apps like 7-Zip www.7-zip.org/. Landsat 7 and 8 were not in orbit in 1990 so you won't find data from them for that time period.
@@DonBoyes Oh, okay Got it. So can i use landsat 4-5 images from that 1990? and then i will use Landsat 7 or 8 later maybe for 2000. i have another question. i am working on urbanization of a city. So how much cloud cover is okay for it?
@@learngeography1766 That all depends on where the clouds are in each image in relation to what you want to map. It's best to start with a low percentage like 0-10% and see what you get, but then raise the limit if you have to
I've been struggling to 'zoom' into a particular glacier using Landsat. I've tried the polgon etc but it still is showing me the larger footprint, which when exported to ArcGis the glacier in question just isn't visible! Pls help!
Landsat sensors include infrared bands and that data is free. I would be surprised if you can find any free sources of Lidar data, as it is quite expensive to collect.
I'm not sure what format your data is in, so I'm not sure. Tar is a common format but it's possible that you might be able to download it in some other format as well. You can try to follow along with the video to retrace your steps and see if that helps.
You would have to download the images individually, and then create a raster mosaic. You can find instructions here: desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/manage-data/raster-and-images/creating-a-mosaic-dataset.htm
In general, that type of GIS data exists, but whether you can find it for the area you are interested in and then download it is another question. I don't know of a central data repository for that data, so you may have to look for things like a national/government agency responsible for weather and climate data, such as Environment Canada, or NOAA in the U.S.
I’ve been struggling to download a map for 3 days for my exam and you just saved my life man. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thank you. You're the only one who added how to extract the images.
I appreciate
This is the best video on selecting and downloading LANDSAT data. Thank you!
Wow, thanks - glad you like it!

Thank you sir. I was unable to get this TIFF file part you helped me .thanku from India🤗🎊⚘👍👍👍
You’re very welcome! 👋
Thanks Don Boyes. I was able to sort out an issue I couldn't address before. Keep it up.
Glad to help
Thank you sir for this wonderful explanation.
Can you please tell how I can use these data to make LULC maps

Appreciate for your nice and patient teaching video!
In which format we should put our satellite image dateset for applying the 3D-Convolutional Autoencoder.

Easy to understand wonderful
Glad you think so!

Thankyou so much. It's very useful
awesome video thanks!!

Hello, if I have downloaded the landsat collection level 2, do I still have to do radiometric and atmospheric correction?
Are there any sources of open source satellite data for infrared and lidar?
Landsat sensors include infrared bands and that data is free. I would be surprised if you can find any free sources of Lidar data, as it is quite expensive to collect.
Hello,
Why are the images I download from USGS not in Tar format?
Does this mean that the images are not the same as the ones you are using?
Thank you

where could i find the multispectral data ???
sir how do i download landsat imagery of a large area for example a state?
you response is highly appreciated

@@DonBoyes thanks a lot..
Quality of the image is very poor in my laptop.. How do I solve this problem.. After forming a composite image I find the pixel depth to be 30 bits
There is no download option in my account. Any one could kindly help here? Thanks
Can you give me the demos for downloading the imagery satellite in 'The Forest Bukit Suharto' east Kalimantan Timur Indonesia. Tqu very much.
Sorry, I'm not able to provide demos for specific locations as it would be too time consuming.
Ok
