If yes, the story actually flesh out more about Ashiya's father and how he was related to Aoi, the black cat that took care of Abeno. And Ashiya's father is not a bad guy like how the ending of second season portrayed him to be.

* The manga ends with Ashiya losing his ability to see youkai, but he can still see moja. Ashiya resigned his job with the Mononokean but he promised Abeno that he'll return if he ever can see youkai again.

I think this opening is refer to both Ashiya and Abeno pov. The first verse is Ashiya about how weak he is and he decide to train become stronger by learn to use his demonic senses and his special power called "influence" to defend himself from evil demons from the manga. The part in the manga where Ashiya protect Abeno from the kid's bat at the playground scene is where Ashiya spotted a lie from Abeno when he thought about what happens if Ashiya did not save him getting hitted by the baseball bat. That friggin scene looks like a proposal. Ashiya also want Abeno to acknowledge him as his reliable employee. The second verse of the song refers to Abeno. The liar part is about he kept secrets from Ashiya and his dad in order to protect him from the excutive. The manga developed these two characters and we've know that Abeno doesn't care for humans but only for demon. When Ashiya work with him for a long time, he started to become more human and care for Ashiya. Imo this op shown the development of these two characters also the feels of my abeshiya 😤
Ashiya is the only that Abeno can see right now. He keeps secrets about Ashiya’s dad and his past to keep safe for Ashiya. They both feel like a weakling because they want to protect each other’s smile.
Problem is, this theory only works if Kiri Wazawa already wrote or was currently writing the playground scene. Remember, it was in later chapters.

Pōra I don't think it's wrong. The only kind of shipping I'm bothered by is shipping real people who aren't romantically interested in one another (that's been officially confirmed).
This series has been ambiguous on whether or not Ashiya and Abeno actually have a romantic relationship or not. I can't tell if the strong bond they have is romantic or not. Two guys can be very close friends without having romantic feelings for one another after all. I can't tell yet. The series doesn't have the shounen ai genre tagged onto it either.
I honestly don't care though who ships what fictional characters (though there ARE some pretty weird ships out there that don't seem to be based on much). Even if the shounen/shoujo ai or yaoi/yuri genre isn't officially there, it's not a bad thing to ship characters. From an analysis standpoint it might be if there is no basis in the writing for it, but as a just for fun kind of thing, it isn't wrong.

I started reading this manga and I was so moved after I read it and then, I questioned myself "do they have anime?" So I went to gogoanime and type it and luckily they had. It was perfect for a way to start living as an otaku here anyways

The manga ending left me in both disappointment and despair. Nonetheless, can't say it wasn't good, it was hella good. Hell, I'd even re-read it right now and buy all of the manga volumes. Got attached to this series after one episode, still one of my favorites.

Sorry for the late reply but no none of them die but the black hair character loses his ability to see demons so both the main characters have to go their separate ways since he can no longer see demons and that resulted in him quitting his job of being an employee in the mononokean

Literally the only reason why I listen to it-
I remember being addicted to this anime, then I switched to reading manga. Loved the characters, especially MC's personality and dynamics with the guy (i forgot their names already lmao). It finished, but I felt like it could've gone for longer, the ending (in my opinion) was lacking for me 🥺

Love ashiya, love abeno, love the story, I'm into BL but looks like is just me not thinking this song is about these character's feelings whatsoever... I mean... I can read...this song is about unrequited love and about being unable to express one's true feelings... this anime is not about that... are we watching the same series???
