The Tequila Hombre Since I’m new to the channel, I’m glad I found one that shares the same passion of quality tequila. I have never tried Rey Sol but from the way you described . I would love to try Rey Sol.

Did your notes look different than mine?
The Tequila Hombre...very similar, I get TONS of vanilla, butterscotch and caramel. Initially I didn’t get the same fruit notes but after hearing you pick them out I started noticing some on the finish. I enjoy that there is still some cooked agave present after 6 years and that the sweetness is well balanced. I find myself still nosing the glass even after I have finished my pour on this one.

Does it taste anything like the Gran reserva? I love that candy praline smell to it.
Similar but 100 times better.. I will be posting a review of Gran Reserva shortly.. and talking about the difference..

Like others of your watchers, it's hard to decide to make such a large purchase without ever having tried that precious golden liquid. It definitely is a must have.. One of the best French Oak aged Xtra Anejos there is!
Love the channel, not to many tequila review shows on TH-cam.
You make a tempting review but this is just a bit out of my price range. I only have 3 extra anjeos as they are a little over oaked. I stick to repos as my go to. Lol I can't get my wife to drink anything other than Blanco either.

Great review on the Rey sol. I definitely get the French oak, vanilla, cherry and at the end I taste a marzipan and dark chocolate lingering. Great tequila!

Great video, keep up them coming. They have helped me purchase some great Tequila. I tend to like Blanco’s and Reposado’s the most. So I haven’t tried the XA Rey Sol yet. The price is keeping me from buying it. Not that I wouldn’t pay that much, just don’t want to pay that much to find out I don’t like it.

It's too sweet for me. They use additives to enhance the flavor of that tequila as they are allowed to use up to 1% of the total batch size in additives by the Norma. This tequila is what real, well made french oak extra anejo tastes like. :)

I am a big fan of Tears of Llorona Extra Añejo. Your description makes me want to run out a buy it - silky smooth oaky, vanilla, butterscotch, dark chocolate, sweet cherry...can't wait to try!

The greatest tequila I’ve ever had! I saw it in a American Way Mag, then I saw it in a liquor store in Tepatitlan Jalisco. I had to get it and it was worth it. I’ve tried to get another one but they are rare. Great review.

Mr Tequila Hombre... I can't seem to find any Rey Soy distributors here in Mexico. Were you able to buy the bottles that one time you visited the Hacienda?
It's available all over Mexico. You have to look in the nicer tequila stores...

How does this compare to the 10 year 20th Anniversary bottling you picked?
Our 10 year is more robust flavor wise still with a nice agave forward flavor profile.. This version is the 10 year aged light.. still very good but I like our 10 year more

You can try San Matias Gran Reserva. Its good but not quite Rey sol level.

I have always wanted to try this one or at least san matias anejo black bottle you should compare them side by side.
There is no comparison. This is much more complex and better than the San Matias Gran Reserva Extra Anejo. The Gran Reserva is great for a budget XA.
How about vs herradura suprema or don julio real these 3 are my dream bottles but would only want to buy one at those prices which would you recommend between those 3 if you have had them?

@@TheTequilaHombre I've been collecting Tequila for a little while and based on your advice and review I purchased All four El Tesoro Tequilas. I also have a few others What else would you recommend for my small collection?
El Tesoro is a solid brand.. If you can find Fortaleza and G4 those are really great brands as well. I have over three hundred bottles in my collection and would be glad to recommend tequilas but its hard not knowing what is available where you live. Thanks for watching and the comment.
