Vielen Dank ❤
Thank you. I started mine, but with 12 colors because my friend requested that. I got 2 rows of leaves knotted before I understood how you were making your leaves so gorgeous. So I took out every single knot (150+) and started over. I think I like it better in one color because you can see the shapes better. This is my first project, and my knots are bigger than yours, so I used the same size hoop, but I started over and used only 10 colors (groups) to begin. Thank you so very much for spending all this time with me. I've really enjoyed it.
I appreciate that you showed your whole process even though it took a while. So many of these videos skip through things and you miss the little nuances that help give things a more polished look and help add that artistic skill. Also, it helps people see what really goes into making things like this. I feel more confident about making my own by watching your whole process. Thank you, really enjoyed watching this.😊
Wow! Wow! Wow! That was intense and INCREDIBLE! Nicest piece of macrame art I’ve ever seen and although it takes a long time I’m hoping to try this and see how it turns out. Thank you SO kindly for sharing this with us. ❤️
Simplemente maravilloso !!!
Thank you for sharing this pattern. Just finnished this project. loved being able to do my own thing. Overwhelmed at first, once I got going confidence built up.
Really enjoyed having a go at making this. My cord was a little thicker than yours. But your tutorial gave me the confidence to adapt and its turned out ok. I have some thinner cord so hopefully i will get better next. Thank you for putting this out.
I like that the branches are on both sides and you show it as freestyling not a set pattern so it is easy to make them all a bit unique simply by not making 1 set pattern necessary. I use a big variety of frames from keychain rings to hoolahoops for my wreaths, dreamcatchers and other crafts. I do wish to ask the length of the strings used for this to give me a better idea of what is needed for a tree about that size and if you have any tips for estimating the length needed for a larger or smallerone that'd be great as I try minimize the waste of string
Thank you for taking time out to send such a beautiful message xx each string is 200cm. Which I feel is the right length but I have seen beautifully created trees with longer lengths so I think it is personal preference x
@@knotsanddreams the most helpful videos are always worth time to leave a comment on so you are most welcome. Also thank you for the length info, I am working on a larger piece using a decent sized hoolahoop as my frame so sharing what length you used for yours should help alot in estimating how much I should use, worse case senario I can add more in but I want to try to make it flow naturally as you've done. Your unique direction to not be a step bystep tutorial has also inspired me to want to do one of these using hemp cord and use more natural materials for one of these, it's a little more awkward to work with but will make for a nice nature piece
Thank you for sharing 😊 16:54 Just wow! So beautiful, I'm going to try make it too. Could it also be possible to make it with 2 colors and ending with 2 trunks?
Love, love, love this! Plan to try and make xmas gifts. Would you be willing to give a little more direction in your reply regarding branches? It's not clicking for me. Thanks!
Hard to explain, but I’ll try! I have to remove some of the cords, it would look messy if I’d continued to make leaves with the same amount of cords to the centre, there just isn’t enough room. So, instead of cutting or removing the cords completely I decided to made the back look as pretty as the front! Doesn’t that help? X
Absolutely love this and going to make it. Couple o questions. 1. How long did it take you to make? 2. We have cats so I don’t necessarily want the hanging cords at the bottom. Is there a nice way to finish them off closer to the hoop? Thank you!
Hi Chris! I usually make them over 2 days, about 7/8 hours (they don’t always go smoothly!) Before you cut any length you could add some glue to hold the final knots onto the hoop in place. Once they’re secure and dry, trim them as short as you can. Alternatively, you could cut them short (and inch or two) and brush them out to a ‘fringe’? I haven’t tried that yet though! Good luck!
BRAVO ! Superbe ouvrage !
Thank you so much for this video. Can you tell me the name of the color you used? I want to make one for my niece for her room for a Christmas present. Thank you!
Thank you! Hmm they take a while!!! This one was 7/8 hrs 🙈 but I usually make them in two parts now over 2 days - like I’ve broken them down in these videos.
