Along with Brendon Gale, Peggy O'Neal and their achievements on field, he is the main reason I stopped hating Richmond and began to admire them especially being at the '17 GF to witness it. It all started just before half time when Dusty kicked that goal. That was the turning point for the club. He's been an icon for that club and no one could begrudge him this. It's raised even further awareness over the challenges modern coaches have to deal with. Great career Damien and I'm sure you won't be lost to the industry, well done.

I think we saw a man who cared… really cared about his players, the club and the game. Takes a proud man to admit when he’s given everything and has no more left to give. How, and I’m not Richmond, could you not have “got on the bandwagon “ behind what was a STELLAR time at Richmond with this man in charge. In my humble opinion, one of the benchmarks of the game. All the very best to you and family for the future.

Damien Hardwick was a shining light when he came to Richmond and throughout his whole time there.
The club in 2008 was a basketcase from within it was cursed since 1982 and it didn't seem like it would recover ever again to its former glory .
Dimma pushed on with a smile on his face he knew his plan and he had belief in himself and his players he left the best for last .
My favourite footage of Dimma was the 2017 grand final when the players were lined up for the anthem when it ended he had this massive smile on his face he patted his boys on the chest he knew 100% in what they were capable of and history proved it so !

Don't agree in the slightest. They've had a bad run with injuries to some key players this season and that's deflated their position on the ladder. Same thing has happened to Geelong and Sydney. Clearly they're on the way down from an era of multiple flags but they've got lots of good players - premiership players - in the 23-27 age bracket, plus some promising kids like Ryan, Cumberland, Ralphsmith, Rioli Jnr, Sonsie, Gibcus & Clarke. I wouldn't even discount the possibility of finals this year, let alone next year and beyond.
