Jennifer, I have to admit im usually a silent watcher but i honestly loved this video.Sometimes you watch utubers knowing that they are rushing through just to put out content its refreshing to watch you cook for your family and I was left smiling with the banter between you and Warren ❤😊
I absolutely love how real u keep things on your channel. You don’t try to fluff it up to be unrealistic and you make regular ole meals of what you have on hand
When we have wild turkey breast, my husband slices it very very thin. Just like you can buy the turkey cutlets in the grocery store. I salt and pepper it flour it and fry it like fried chicken. It is the most delicious you will ever taste.
Jennifer, you were asking about the odor of deer meat. A lot of people don't care for that aroma. My folks and others would sometimes marinate the meat in milk for a few hours before cooking. That will reduce the gamey smell. Hope this is helpful.
A few years ago I tried your oven fried chicken….. it is WONDERFUL! There’s no going back to the mess and work of pan frying again. Now I need to make some of the egg bites to have easy ready to go breakfast food.
Hello Jennifer! I have a suggestion for your egg bites. Use ham instead of sausage with the onions and peppers. When I was growing up, we would call them westerns. Thank you for sharing your week with us.
Your chocolate chip zucchini muffins are a family favorite in our household! We’ve been making them for a few years since probably one of the earlier videos of you sharing it & I scratched it down on a sticky note and taped it inside my cupboard! That chicken salad looked delicious. I love watching the longer food videos!
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! You made me chuckle when you propped the freezer lid up with that stick. My chest freezer has a broom handle that I cut off as my prop stick. What is it with the chest freezer’s lids, I have been converted to an upright. I can see that spark still in Warrens eyes for you, so beautiful to see. All the children are doing very well at least they are healthy and happy. You always make me so hungry watching you cook because everything looks delicious. I use milk or buttermilk to soak venison in sometimes, it helps with the smell when cooking, but it really doesn’t bother me because I love venison. I hope everyone has a very blessed week! ❤️🙏
Jennifer (and family) - thank you for sharing! I love this style of video. I always learn something from you, Jennifer, even though we’re of a similar age. Thanks for taking us along! ❤ xo
Wait!! Warren didn't ask for chili for while you were gone camping??? Say it isn't so 😲😅 I was just working on my menu for this month and already have your whiskey burgers on the list. They're so good. I think I'm also adding your pepper steak recipe to the menu. Yummy stuff!
Hi Jennifer I am really enjoying your video You are and amazing Cook and Wife Warren is blessed to have you sweet Friend God bless You Cathy 🙏🏻✝️☮️📿🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂💐🌹🌺💜💙💗🌹
You can soak your venison in milk prior to cooking to remove some of the gaminess. Salt water will help somewhat as well, but milk works better in my experience.
I love salisbury steak. Here in Sweden we also often have fried onions and pickles as a side and also potatoes and lingonberrie jam. Also creamsause or brown sause. My grandmother made it alot when I was a kid.❤
@@debgordon6542 You should. If you have a IKEA near you u should see if they have lingonberrie jam. Its taste is similier too cranberries but they grows wild in our forest here. Its a bit sweet and tart at the same time.super good. We also often have it it our oatmeals and with meatballs.
@5:16 I don't know if this will help your viewer, but I have found the smell of venison isn't as strong based on how I'm preparing it. When I braise it in the oven, it seems to have a less-strong scent than when I'm frying chops/steaks/ground in a skillet. (Braised - covered with liquid in a baking dish with a lid.)
First and foremost I want to say how happy I was to hear that you missed the storms! I sent up prayers of thanksgiving that you were safe. I was so happy to get a new video this evening and I love that it is a longer one. All of the food looks delicious (as always).. I hope you have a blessed week! ❤
I always made my kids save 50 percent of money gifts and earnings, they thanked me when they were older. The egg bites look good, look like crustless quiche. Rhubarb dessert looks good, mine is finally producing I grew it originally for the leaves to make cement leaf castings, but now I won’t have to bug my neighbor for the fruit.
I do not think I've ever seen you use a stick of room temp. Butter I watched in amazement as you cut that up to make your dessert and I thought great workout for those arms...then I laughed out loud when Peter came for you to start the weed eater. You go Momma. Just loved this video. 😅
A hack that came up to thaw meat: 1 qt cool water, 100ml white vinegar, and 2 T salt mix well add meat that's in plastic bag and let sit 5 min. HAVEN'T TRIED IT DONT KNOW IF T WORKS.
Hi Jennifer. Love this video! All the meals looked delicious. Joe, Peter and Maria are so grown up--when did that happen?? I liked Warren's comment that you were "salty" LOL. Hugs.
Hi Jennifer! You did an excellent job of putting great meals together. I was inspired to pull some chicken strips that have been hanging out in my freezer for awhile for our supper. I need to do more of that! Hope to see an annual July 4th video.🇺🇸❤💙
I make a similar oven fried chicken. I always bake potatoes with the chicken. Scrubbed potatoes, smear with bacon grease and add salt. Turn oven to 425 with potatoes in cold oven. Add chicken when oven is hot and bake 35 mins, turn chicken over and bake an additional 15 mins. Baked potatoes are done when chicken cooked. In winter I also add acorn squash to the oven. All done at the same time. Easy meal.
I saw another TH-camr cook those cheese fries in the air fryer. I think she had the same scrambled cheese as you when trying to fry or bake them. Enjoyed the lengthier video!
I was disappointed I didn’t get a pot holder in time but I’m happy for Maria that they sold out. I love the two I bought from her the last time she sold them. I use them everyday!
Soaking Venison in salt water removes the gamey taste. I love it more than cube steak when soaked in salt water. My Grandmother and Mom would then soak in buttermilk and dredge in flour and fry. Yummy!
We should have played a drinking game using the word "salty" lol jk. I can tell the low carb diet is going well. You look great Jen...you're glowing :-) Why haven't I made Grandma's Chicken yet?! It looks so good! You know I'm with you on the gently/unused napkins. I do the same thing, especially handy for spills
Use a garbage bag and put the chicken package in to and tie shut. Put the meat in a sink full of cool water. Refresh the water every few hours. It will thaw pretty fast. Cook as soon as thawed.
Love, love, love this kind of video! You share real life, not always perfect, sometimes messy! I feel like in your kitchen. You and Mama Mel are my favorites! Thank you for sharing life with us. Glad you were spared the strong storms. I had been wondering as I watched the radar the last few days. In our part of Vernon County we have also been very fortunate. There is some minor flooding this morning, but no damage for us. We are very thankful for this!
I read somewhere that we should grade our butter if it’s not room temperature and it makes it easy to make crust like this. It sounds like a good idea. I plan to try it.
Great video as always thank you for the meal inspiration. I had a pack of chicken in my freezer that I didn’t know what to do with but now I do I’m gonna flower and put it on the sheet pan and then I’m also going to make zucchini chocolate chip muffins

I'm originally from the Chesapeake Bay and grew up with salt, pepper, & Old Bay. I didn't know there were any other seasonings lol. Must have for your pantry :-)
And October till January we ate from the freezer we didn’t buy nothing unless it was just you know like milk, eggs spray something like that but really not buying no food because we were cooking from the freezer and then in January we restock so I’m already at a full mode again, so I (save some money)
I’m in Texas and it is so hot. I have not been wanting to cook a hot meal and everything has been cold. Tuna salad, chicken salad sandwiches but I really need to start cooking for my Deep Freezer. The numbers on the shrimp is the count per lb. Not sure if you knew that. Hopefully it’ll help you know how many are roughly in a bag. Love your videos
Jennifer, are you doing low carb again? Those egg muffins sound so good! I think I am going to make a batch of them for the freezer to have for quick breakfasts throughout the week. Great video!
Yes, since May 15. I feel wi deregulated and the shoulder inflammation and pain is totally gone. I’ve lost about 15 pounds, which isn’t as much as I thought I’d lose, but I feel so good it’s not bothering me.
