This is the first song of the show. He gets more pitch control & range after a few songs. He's not the superhuman he was in 1970, but he's still a very impressive singer. And Ian Paice might look like Grandpa, but he plays drums like a madman!
I saw Deep Purple in August, and he sounded great. Even when he is off his game, he’s still so much better than what is being played now. Robert Plant is too!
I was at the concert and after this song he gets into it. It was the first song of the evening and he really messed up but after 2 or 3 songs he sounded great for his age
Wokalista wczoraj skończył 79 lat ale w kwiecie wieku był najlepszym solistą Hart Rockowym ,chylę czoła temu człowiekowi . Też jestem zdania - już czas odpocząć . Pozdrawiam .Emeryt .70.
@@starlink58 Thank you! Great post. I totally agree. People think they just APPEAR out of nowhere just for that 1 show in front of them. MOST folks DO NOT understand what is takes to be in a band. The work, and the work, and more work. Fun work, But still Work. Listen to other shows from this tour and Ian sounds fine. They might wanna tune down a whole step? Love these guys with Heart & soul!
even if obviously the 79 springs are felt on the back of the legendary Ian Gillan, I heard him sing much better in the last concert in Rome ... here he probably has some ailment that has significantly ruined his performance ...
Terrific! Long live Deep Purple!
Next sunday 20th october 2024 in Erfurt, germany
Can't wait for it

unfortunately a pitiful sight
Fine band. But they need a new singer....Sorry to say.....I think he has KOL
OMG! Ian Gillan used to be great…50 years ago! His voice is shot! So sad
Damn, Ian struggled on this one but he completed the mission as best as he could.

The singer's vocal cords are under constant strain. Gigs almost every other day, traveling, jet lag and age play a role. Believe what I say. I know.
