For the Jungians, integrating the shadow means actually what you described at the end, became aware of one’s self shadow. That’s the individuation process and thus it never ends, it’s not a place.

Wow Christopher! Thank you for bringing a digestable symphony of understanding Pluto. I have it conjunct my rising and I live with him everyday - it more looks like the inner critic to me when I stand up for myself or when I share something interesting and my inner critic responses by chastising me in everyway possible. With moon/Mars opp Uranus natal I found when injustices are so great, overwhelming & unending, the only safe route to be going inside & back to Source for guidance:What almost killed me for so long actually contributed to my finding my way back ... in the end.
Another fascinating lesson in learning of human nature, and planetary interpretaion as they square off against each other - vengefulness and inability to integrate histories, cultures and traditions - let alone families, in-laws, or rival political parties jockeing for position and power - here on earth if egos are not held in check, vengeance and retaliation can be devastating - it sounds very intense - pray for peace

This was such a thought-provoking talk. I'm laying around recovering from nasal surgery so this may be one I need to listen to again to sink in deeper.
I have a Scorpio stellium and I laughed while you described the people who go to the Scorpio friend when in duress and then say "Away Scorpio!" when they're feeling better and no longer want to think of what brought them pain. Scorpio lives in it. Scorpio knows how to move through life despite having (had) pain.
The element of shadow is so fascinating because it fascinates me to explore, but there is always a shadow I do not see. I love when I can integrate and heal -- that is the best. Yet, I see what you mean about integration not always being possible; thus, learning to live with and in spite of circumstances is the nature of Scorpio.

I abolutely loved your prsentation, Christopher! First your crystal clear explanation of the 3 facets of Justice. Then I loved what you said about the shadow side! I have to admit that what Jung said about integrating it has been indigestible to me. Then you reminded me of Krishnamurti who said that "The very seeing of it is the end of it." Before I read it, i experienced it at the age of 13. I'm 76 now. A schoolmate asked me how I liked her school performance the day before. I was like paralyzed, unable to speak when I then saw my envy. I saw it! didn't judge it, and then saw how it immediately pulverized right in front of my eyes. Never again did I experience that feeling! Ever!!! I suppose that's the way to deal with an addiction or things like that! Thanks a million, Christopher. It was invaluable!!!

Your a very difficult rather pointed and of course because it is the shadow, very inflammatory and painful and challenging subject, very scorpionic experience. Well done, thank you Christopher. Having my Saturn in Scorpio squaring my Pluto I learned it was much the best path to delve deep look at the shadow and transform. Not easy but very freeing and brings one to the heart, compassion for all beings, we cannot do this for anyone but ourself. 💖
