At 27:05, "frame the parts"but you just still clicked the frame roof, how does the framing roof tool then only frame the parts? also whats aboutn the split the sheathing parts ?thanks

We can turn ON 'Frame' and also 'Frame Part' tick marks in the 'Link Roof' window. That means that the Wood Framing Roof tool will frame the roof and/or part, depending on the selection. Regarding the sheathing parts, they are split based on the configuration chosen in the 'Link Roof', using the 'Split Parts' command. Hope that helps!

Hello, can you show me where you add the collar joist? I don't have girders. The collar joists just go from one joist to the other.

Sure. In the video, we show how to add girders AND the collar joists. You would need to frame another roof (horizontal, without slopes) for collar joists. And the configuration for them is very simple - keep only the Joists (no Rim Joist, no Bridgings etc). FWIW, collar joists are shown at this point in the video th-cam.com/video/1yfKsdCu-F8/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!

so create two roofs and frame them both? Shouldn't you simply be able to just create collar ties. I don't need the girders, just the ties. So you don't really show ties alone. And all you do is say you're going to frame the roof with collar ties, but don't show the details😕

@@hu5tle- Yes, you should create 2 roofs: a roof for sloped joists and another horizontal roof for collar joists (the roofs created in Revit can be seen from 19:00). If you don't need the girders, simply don't add them, they are not a must. We just demonstrated the process using girders as one of many possible framing examples. But if you don't need them, then don't add them. :)
This video does not show the details (like the settings in the configuration, etc.) because its purpose is to demonstrate the possibilities. Of course, we help our clients to get familiar with all needed details and workflows during individual training sessions. If you need help with those details, contact us at helpdesk@agacad[dot]com

25:18 changing type settings for the ridge beam has no effect. It just stays in the place and moves nowhere..

Instructor is too fast. Cursor movement can be slower and clearer. Thank you
