Tait has a rare gift for relating to her interview subjects in such a way that the members of the audience feel that they are listening in on a conversation between friends. She is warm, seemingly happy and optimistic, and bubbly, yet does not allow herself to become the focus of the interview. I love that Tait and Tim talked about getting together in the city in which they both live. It's the sort of casual conversation that I would have with my friends who lived in the same city.

In one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books about Tiffany Aching called A Hat Full of Sky there is this great quote about thinking “First Thoughts are the everyday thoughts. Everyone has those. Second Thoughts are the thoughts you think about the way you think. People who enjoy thinking have those. Third Thoughts are thoughts that watch the world and think all by themselves. They’re rare, and often troublesome. Listening to them is part of witchcraft.” Sorry the way he talked about thinking reminded me of it. The thing he was trying to think of is likely sensory processing disorder most people on the autism spectrum have it but you can have it without the autism part. I'm on the autism spectrum but my hole family have different kinds of sensory processing disorders. Some sens are turned up and other are turned down and each one of us is different. It's great that his daughter has him understand her.

I love this interview! I absolutely love Tim's music and I love the way his music has grown over the years to be more in depth with feelings, and thoughts, and looking at things with new eyes, and with your heart. He has grown and as a result, I feel I have too because I can really connect with some of his more recent songs. I love the funny songs too--but I think that he is doing more thought provoking work now and He has learned and gained insights to things we might not yet have seen or experienced and it is like he is teaching us how to open your mind, see things for what they are, and then flip it over and see the other side of it also. I just love him and his work. I have listened to all of his songs, I really like I Will Carry You, Airport Piano, I'll Take Lonely Tonight, and I like his version of I Feel Like Going Home, even though that is a bit different and not actually one of his songs, I think people can relate to it sometimes. I like all of the songs on his new album. Love them all. And it is rare to find a musician who actually gives you all great songs on one album. All of the songs on this album are good. Thank you, Tim for creating these wonderful works of musical art to help us understand ourselves better and the world around us.

Thank you so much for an updated interview Tim! I've been following you for 15 years and haven't gotten to see you yet. I hope the world opens back up and you tour the states again.

The biggest challenge in the world is to not allow everything to just fall out of my mouth! As a kid I couldn't bring myself to speak and now reeling it in feels like doing harm. But I get there. And childhood memories? They're limited for whatever reasons. The best thing I've learned as a potential grown up is that I can change the past by simply using it differently. Being of service to others who have experienced similar issues suddenly makes a sad history very useful and relevant.

The best and most important lesson I’ve ever learned: you cannot control what happens to you in life; you can only control how you react to it.

I had a metacognition class in a program I did in elementary school, and now I feel cool.

Tim thanks for giving props to Perth music in Upright. The series made me cry, you seemed to put your heart and soul in it. Thank you ❤

He's very talented. But sadly he seems very ill at ease and almost haunted by his own existence. Would love for him to be able to chill out and fully relax at some point.

Love the big black glasses frames. But not as much as this 74 year old loves Tim the humanist.
