Very interesting. Great to see and hear Susan Berman. She really rocked in The Smithereens. I wondered, whatever became of her. She still looks amazing.

Me too. This clip seems to be the only thing showing what she's been up to. Obviously a very talented and intelligent person. Perhaps as far as acting she just chose to be involved in local community theater.

Wish this were longer. Susan was great in that movie. The music, script, the atmosphere, the acting...just a wonderful low budget movie.

Bermann killed it in that role. And she still looks amazing.

So glad you put this interview online, thank you. Berman's performance in this film was OUTSTANDING. She captured Wren so perfectly, and there really is a lot of Nights of Cabiria in her performance.
So I was thrilled to finally find her more recently talking about it. And I was curious what she has been up to -- I know her ex-husband of 30 years ran the La Jolla Playhouse, so I wonder if she spent the next decades working on those productions...

I was 15 when I came across this movie on cable tv. It was fascinating and scary to watch at that age. Just saw it was on TH-cam and am still fascinated but no longer scared 😂

This movie screams "1979" to me, maybe because we were already past that phase of punk and into hardcore here in SoCal when this came out. I saw it as a teenager and found it amusing, but have grown to love it over the years, and having known many girls like "Wren" while in the scene, it's always sweet to see her get her comeuppance in the end.
