Can we all compare notes for alternative colors to substitute for ones used in Ellen’s videos? I need a Cotman color close to the Holbein Peacock Blue!
This is a fun, festive exercise. 😀 Gets me right into the Fall spirit! Thanks for having a pumpkin state of mind. 😁 Very cool. These would certainly make adorable note cards. (Yes, I liked the emergency fix.)
Love your tutorials. Thank you for starting autumn paintings. Plan to send Halloween and Thanksgiving Card’s this year since we can’t visit with anyone in person. ❤️
Hi Ellen. I’m struggling with wet on wet loose landscapes. Have been painting for about six months and while I have had some success, when I try to do a landscape with trees and greenery, it goes badly. You have so many tutorials that came highly recommended but I don’t know which one to start wi5. Would you be able to suggest a good jumping in place. I love seascapes and do okay with them but put me in the forest and it turns to mud. Thank you in advance for your input and thanks for all the helpful tutorials. Kind regards, Lisa
Scotch tape! I use an ugly washi tape that came in a set, but I’ve used clear tape too. I stick it to my shirt first to get some of the tack off so it won’t rip my paper.
This is soooo cute but sadly I’m so bad at depth, it looks like my pumpkins have been tucked up in a grassy bed instead of sitting on top of the grass, and for some reason I can’t get the shadows to work behind the foremost pumpkins ☹️ can I blame my crappy practise paper (Arches is so expensive!) ?? Probably not ha
Could you do a old farm truck and hay bales I've tried to draw them out but nothing working right..lol I love your mini Monday videos they help me destress very much....mikelle newyork mom who is 😢🤦♀️ using painting as therapy lifeline right now...😷🎨✌

This is great for us beginners. Do you know where you can get frames for 3 by three? I can not seem to find that size.
I’m pretty sure she mentioned in another video that Hobby Lobby sells the 3”x3” frames!

Thank you for showing me how to make pumpkins my were always really lopsided..they looked like they were disintegrating....
What do you use for the boarder to keep the paint off of it .?
