( Only in the center of the room) 😟 I was wanting to know if you have any ideas or suggestions without having to get an electrician? Thanks

The couch is UNCOMFORTABLE. Can't lean back with a comfortable place to rest your upper back and head and shoulders. Have to have your head flip back or be sitting forward the entire time. This couch is for LOOKS ONLY.
3 comfortable ergonomic chairs that aren’t ugly (imo): • Steelcase Gesture • Haworth Fern • Humanscale Freedom Be sure to do your research, as office chairs are seldom a one-size-fits-all kinda deal. The Freedom chair is particularly polarising in terms of comfort and ergonomics.

Love Nick Lewis videos. I agree that the rattan lamps are gorgeous (and that one with the wooden beads!), but the first thing I think when I see one is cleaning nightmare lol. I can't help it. I hate dusty or grimy decor and/or difficult to keep clean decor, and I'm not sure how you clean those. With baskets, I dust them but over time they get dust inside all those little places, so I put them in the sink and scrub them with soap & a brush. Doesn't seem possible with a lamp. I could be wrong. Maybe they pop apart for cleaning?

Velvet is actually not that bad, my parents had Velvet sofas and chairs when I was that age. They lasted and looked pretty good for a long time. They replaced them when I was in high school. We also ate meals on it almost every night. It was a slightly darker color and it cleaned easily

Yeah it's always tough buying online (especially furniture) without testing in person. I tried to feature only the Amazon house brands or products with great reviews so people wouldn't be disappointed. I've heard good things about the house brands though but I would take a closer look at reviews just be sure.

At your suggestions (& my current budget) I just bought the Stone & Beam Contemporary Rattan Table Lamp (Natural) "used like new" for a new to me bedside lamp & the Rivet Modern Curved Iron Mirror with Wood Shelf to replace the gaudy frame of the one that's currently in our foyer ;) ... Looking around my house I see bits of farmhouse (eg: a Wayfair purchased white distressed island & Devoko Blue Metal Indoor-Outdoor Stackable Chairs Dining Chairs) mixed in with more "modern" elements. I hope to start including more + more Mid-Century Modern items, as I'm able because I'm drawn to that as well.
Appreciated! But QUALITY... many of these *look* great, but do they last? Are people actually happy with the workmanship? Some you mentioned the reviews but it's tricky to know. Again and again, I research an item and finally conclude that they're not worthwhile (Anthropologie, Article, Burrow, etc.). So I'm getting gun shy! Thanks for your videos, so helpful. 💜🙏🌈
Yessss! We just bought an office chair, kinda scandi I guess, is recommended for 3-5 hours usage but I was like.. we have to have that. It makes a huge difference in our space 💕
Aloha Nick. Love love love your observations. That stated sooooorrrry but, like other viewers, I bounce around on the interior channels. What is difficult is that all the channels seems to overlap the same advise again and again. Opinions on IKEA and home goods and such. Lots of modern etc. what I cannot find are channels with specific design styles (no not farmhouse again). As an example I’d really like advice on British West Indies. A couple channels I’ve found are seriously pathetic. I saw once in a showroom dark brown floors with white shutters windows there was a large blue/white Chinese pot with banana plant and I think a leopard or zebra print something…small pillow on a chair? If I recall correctly, they managed to speak to the style with a subtle boldness (oxymoron). I guess how do you walk that fine line of inserting that quiet sexiness; bold but relaxed look? Or if not your style to hit the different design styles who/where can I find it please?! Thanks Nick
Amazon is like Apple. Apple has the devices you love to hate. And Amazon fits right in there with that way of looking at it also... of course I have found many items on Wayfair in the last 11 years. And my God. They're beautiful because I knew what I was looking for, and what I like about Wayfair is if you want to spend $30 on a bookcase it's there and if you want to spend $3000 on a bookcase it's there. And they deliver it to your door. And your UPS and your FedEx's guy a real sweetheart and he'll help you put it in the garage. You can't beat that with a stick.. I stick with lighter colored couches though. I would love to have a leather couch but if I had a leather cats that were declawed may be able to get a leather couch. So I think that's going to be out of the question. I'm doing OK though all things considered my two loveseats are surviving. And I haven't killed any of the cats yet. So I think that's an excellent balance for me

I'm from Chile and im getting a new apartment but here I dont have Ikea, G&B, Target or anything that has affordable furniture that actually looks good. Those are great ideas. My only concern with some is can I easily clean an item? A few of the lights, for instance, look difficult. Anything loosely woven gives me pause because of that. I'm allergic to so much, I have to be careful.

Nick, I just found you and I've watched at least a dozen videos. First of all you talk fast and give us quick info. I LOVE that. Second, you give amazing advice. I was a decorative painter. My passion is decorating and you are my new go to for fun tips. We're finishing out 850 square feet of walk out basement and I can't wait for the decorating part. I'm also a huge amazon shopper and have bought several decor items including that black hamilton round mirror which is going in basement powder room.
How do you feel about buying an expensive sofa without being able to test it out first? I just can't justify spending so much $$ for a piece that I'll sit in a lot without first sitting in it to be sure.

LMAO $200 for a MIRROR?! God no. Nick definitely doesn't have pets. Most of that furniture is NOT pet friendly.

Those are great ideas. My only concern with some is can I easily clean an item? A few of the lights, for instance, look difficult. Anything loosely woven gives me pause because of that. I'm allergic to so much, I have to be careful.

Nick, I just found you and I've watched at least a dozen videos. First of all you talk fast and give us quick info. I LOVE that. Second, you give amazing advice. I was a decorative painter. My passion is decorating and you are my new go to for fun tips. We're finishing out 850 square feet of walk out basement and I can't wait for the decorating part. I'm also a huge amazon shopper and have bought several decor items including that black hamilton round mirror which is going in basement powder room.
