In this Day in a Life of an Engineer session, SHLA students were joined by Nina Arcot. Nina Arcot (she/her) is an Aerospace Engineer in the Future Technical Leaders (FTL) rotational program at Northrop Grumman, currently exploring digital transformation in the space sector. In her most recent rotation, she led internal Research and Development (R&D) efforts related to additive manufacturing, collaborative robots, and manufacturing simulations. Prior to FTL, she was a Mission Assurance lead for a product line of small satellites and collaborated with program managers, supply chain planners, and other engineers to increase efficiency and tackle challenges that came up during manufacturing and testing. Nina completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) department at Princeton, with a focus on materials science coursework and research. Outside of work, she is passionate about STEM outreach and volunteers with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and the Brooke Owens Fellowship (BOF). Her current SWE roles include the Early Career Professionals Affinity Group Communications Committee and the Pre-college Engagement and Support Committee Transitions Working Group.
