- Russia and Ukraine may be at war, but thousands of their citizens are living alongside each other in the Indonesian resort island of Bali. Many have made the island their home, after leaving their countries following the invasion of Ukraine, which is approaching the one-year mark. CNA’s Chandni Vatvani reports. You forgot to mention that Russians and Ukraines are 2 top tourists that create problems in Bali these days, for the locals and for Bali and Indonesian government. And you have to know also, they come with tourist visa and not allowed to do business in Bali. Be smart when you make news report

Bali now has been ruined by those russians, and even now Bali Police has stepped up the game by targeting extra surveillances to those russians who already get a mountainous of complaints from Balinese this year. Those russians would not going to stay any longer in Bali since now the local Balinese has fermenting a huge hatred towards russians after now in many cases those russians are deeply disrespecting the law in Bali.

I was surprised how loud the music was and looked around to see if I saw any loudspeakers, there were none, as it turned out, a young Russian couple had a sound blaster on their table from which the deafening music came out. I asked them to turn off the music, the way they reacted angered me, and told them that they should observe and respect Balinese culture and rules, the tension was rising and asked the police chief to call the police or Patjalang. to call. In fact, strengthened by my performance, the manager lost his modesty and the Russian guests also snarled to show more respect. It became quiet after this and we could enjoy the delicious pitsa we ordered. The young Russian couple left soon after our collision. It is really unbelievable how Russians behave abroad!

Banyak turis yang memanfaatkan kebaikan dan keramahan orang lokal. Mereka melakukan pelanggaran ilegal , tidak mematuhi aturan berkendara , melawan petugas , dll.

I was there for a month, and in fairness, the Russians had a way of keeping themselves to themselves. If you did speak to them, they tended to end the conversation very quickly. A lot of would drive superbikes, and more often than not the girl on the back would have the most ridiculous 'botox' rubber lips. Tinder aswell, was full of 'botoxed' induced russian woman - which you've to keep swiping past. My advice to anyone Balian is to set up a botox shop at the back of your hostel, as they're totally smashing their faces up with it.

But now many the Ukrainan and Russian has no respect to the locals, to the rules of the traffics, the sacret place of Balinese and has ilegal bussiness over there.
Majority of them using tourist visa for setting up a business in Bali, which means illegal. They clearly take advantage of our Kindness, Indonesians are very welcome to tourists, but this certain nationality has made trouble and very disrespectful.
I feel sympathy to the victims of Russian-Ukrainian war, but if you want to stay in Bali, folloy the local law and regulations.
As long as they LEGAL, be respectful and not breaking the rules then all good. Since this is Singaporean media then imagine if they act misbehave and violated tourist visa to work ILLEGALY let's see what happened, since Singapore is more strict than any country in Southeast Asia.

There are Ukrainian men on the front lines of the war that are sleeping in mud and dying for their country. There are even foreigners from far away places such as Australia, New Zealand and Brazil who are volunteering to fight for Ukraine. Meanwhile these Ukrainian men of fighting age are hiding out in a tropical paradise and running a travel agency. It really makes me wonder.

As an Indonesian, I don't really mind refugees, so long as they don't mess up our culture of co-existence under the ideology of pancasila (Five Based Principles in english). Let the war in Ukraine stay in Ukraine, but in Indonesia, you need to assimilate with our culture
