It’s because they didn’t break $500 sunglasses.
Among the three, Motaro is the most memorable for me. As one who’s first was MK3, Motaro was the one who gave me the most nightmares. Between his hulking size, speed, roar and bulk, he really made an impression. Really amusing how these days he’s completely forgotten and though it’s sure to be difficult it would be great to see him playable or in a game again some day.
Goro is of course the iconic one, and I do appreciate how he’s been fleshed out over the years to become a cultured, honorable warrior. Kintaro as far as I’m concerned is the Zoidberg of Shokans.
I'd settle for him just being a boss I can fight.
Canon-wise goro gets his ass beat A LOT

I've always loved Goro, but I'm kind of not sure why they insist on making him a villain. They just kind of undid all his character development, all so they could make him "Big Muscle Enforcer"
Yea, He's at his most interesting where he's a ruler working towards the goal of his people. But he usually boils down to being a right hand man.

Out of the original Mortal Kombat trilogy's sub-bosses, it was like this for me,
1. Goro in MK 1 was the easiest for me because I used Scorpion.
2. Motaro He was a rise In difficulty in UMK3 but he was able to beat him with Noob Saibot.
3. Kintaro was the hardest of the 3 for me, it took me forever to figure out how to win, then I picked Reptile thinking he wouldn't work but he did and that was the key, then I finally won over Kintaro,

In the 90s Motaro was by far my favorite 'bad guys'. I love mythology and it was super cool to see a centaur/demon/monster thing 😂 I know they don't include him cuz developing him and his movement and moveset is more difficult since he has to be animated completely differently, but I'd love to see him again in his 4 legged glory (not that 2 legged abomination) 🤷🏾♂ here's to hoping lol. awesome video. This brings to mind a lot of childhood memories. Personally, I remember Kintaro for mk2 best because I played it the most as a kid, and very rarely was I able to beat him.
I didn't discover how to cheese him until I was an adult...

Kintaro was an asshole in MK2. I hated Goro and Kintaro in MK9 for being so easy to beat.
Stryker took on Kintaro and won, then Cyber Sub-Zero took on both Goro AND Kintaro lol

to be fair to jax, self confidence can have a really huge impact to close quarters combat.
specifically to ur rhythm and commitment to each individual swing.
but yes he was a little backwards in his psychology it would make more sense if he lost badly before getting his mechanic arms and they boosted his self confidence before ultimately hindering his ability making him more confident without.

and baron karza was a repaint of a micro-change toy, that it was a special crossover version of the japanese giant robot KOTETSU JEEG (karza was jeeg painted in black with another head) who was the one that combined with a robot horse and gain a centaur look

Kintaro; Another name of legendary Sakata no Kintoki who's famous for wrestling a bear at a young age to Kintaro; a four armed warrior with tiger stripes.

Me and my little brother call Goro Carlos because when we were young he used to watch me play mk4 then when I eventually let him play he never made it passed Goro and he pronounced his name as Caro because he was so young then later when mk9 came out we both played tag ladder and teamed up on Goro. I brought up to him that he used to call him caro and he said it sounds like Carlos so we just started calling him Carlos from now on

Technically the top half was fully animatronic but there was an actor inside doing the walking. So the legs were a person lol.
