I think that classical artists would love to hear their songs played like this. Imagine how excited they would be to know their music is still relevant.
@@cara1716 Look man. I get it, but as someone who literally studied classical music, "song" vs "piece" has become a completely arbitrary distinction in this usage.
Just started learning this on the piano ( 3rd movement to be precise ) and of course Davie comes out with the song the next week... Bass players are linked with soul.
What a damn shame his channel never grew up. He inspired me to learn bass, but I quit like 10 years ago, I probably would be maybe as good as Dave by now if I hadn't quit.
It's amazing to see these new generations doing great things with these instruments. Things they were never suppose to, and people claimed couldn't do...
I remember watching Stu Hamm play Moonlight Sonata on bass when I was a kid. I was mesmerised that a humble bass could be played like that. To this day, that one performance is the reason I picked up the bass. I am glad to see you play it.
I like how Davie is tapping quite a lot. I remember he said he wasn't too great at tapping, but this is really clean. I love his style thrown in the mix. Very impressive!
And just like that ... the battle ends. The body of violin-chan lays there ... decimated. The two set warriors were shaken to the core ... begging violin-chan for forgiveness as davie walks away, wishing that it never had ended such a way.
I'm surprised that no one else is saying this. At one point there's clearly a lower part happening that he isn't playing. It's still great but I remember him giving other bass players the business about their videos being live/unassisted/etc
Classical guitar cover of this song. Don't get me wrong, Davies rendition is amazing. But man, it sounds beautiful played by a skilled classical guitarist
This is very good, I've been watching your videos from the day you were born and you never disappointed me once in all the 56 years you've been recording videos on youtube
That was Davies background music as he enters the dusty streets to duel with two set. Calm but determined. He didn’t want it to come to this, but he’ll finish it.
@@ebuliima I could be wrong, but I think most people simply underestimate how much time good musicians have put into it. You obviously need the talent to begin with, but give it 5-6 hours a day and I can almost promise you will also be pretty impressive in a couple of years.
He may be stuck wearing headphones without a sound, but he can SLAPP his bass to feel the vibration of a BASS note. Mind-blowing.
Lol
Bass is the unknown guitar. The right players drive the song without notice. No , riding the E string dosent count lol .
he wasn't slapping, he was tapping -🤓

It's so nice to see a ring on the Davie's finger when he's playing. It kinda warms my heart.
