Evan is right, Rob is ridiculously wrong...Moon isn't taking out any innocents, everybody taking L's to her is all terrible people that need to be taken down. The sexual predator teacher, the mother of Park that covers up all of Park's past crimes, Sa Ra's parents that are enabling her negative behaviors instead of getting her help, Sa Ra who is directly involved, Kang's abusive husband, the crooked cops, the deceased faculty member.

The parents of Sa-ra are not innocent? The husband of Park and the daughter are not innocent? You're missing the point Rob is making. Whatever happend to you, why effect people who have nothing to do with it. Also the way Moon wants to get back at the culprits, cool get your get back. But in the process of doing that, she's becoming exactly the people she hates. She has an amazing boyfriend now, a good job. Throwing everything away just for revenge. She is just feeding her trauma more and more. She is not healing one bite. Because you got abused, it's oke for doing the same if not worse. Your just as bad in my eyes as the people who abused you. If she had a tape recorded on her, she could have collected all the evidence she needed to put those people in jail. That would be the smart and good way of getting back at them.

I love how this show (unlike western stories up until recently) removes the whole "if you seek revenge youll never gain satisfaction, and you'll be just like them" the glory is like "F that" and makes it satisfying as all hell. Each of them were vile scumbags for what they did

Revenge is not healing obviously but the victims sometimes get stuck in the moment of abusement. And revenge can help them to get out of that stuck point. Healing comes after.
I love that the show literally addresses that and how the viewers of the notion that Moon could have obtained happiness by now if she had just moved on...are all wrong. Still to this day, I think The Glory is the best K-Drama I have seen.
There is no healing if you become the same as the persons who abused you.
@@Adnane020 you say that as though TRAUMA is easy to heal from. Moon didn't just go through a trail and overcome with some small cuts and bruises, she was literally tortured and then abandoned by all around her. We see an adult Moon, but truthfully she is frozen in time and never actually grew up.

In a previous ep,-when moon is talking to the daughter of moon's helper- Moon basically says "i'm an awful person. i'd never want anyone to be the way i am. don't ever look up to me."
Moon knows what she's doing is awful and disgusting..She just doesn't care anymore. The power of "eye for an eye" has consumed her to a point of no return.
Also,no two people think the same...what's closure for you won't be closure for me. Rob might be able to let things roll off his back and move on(good for him.) but there's many people that can't/won't until something is done about it. that's just the world we live in.....

Every time Moon looks in the mirror, she is reminded of everything that happened to her. Every innocent person Moon protects and let's stop acting like she is pulling all this stuff off on her own. She wouldn't get this far if these horrible people didn't hurt other people who have essentially become her team of past victims. She is choosing justice where the actual justice system said fuck her and all their victims because of money. Rob is wrong bro lol this is not as simple as just shooting her or just moving on. I definitely don’t agree with Rob on his take of Moon being “just as bad” as the rest. I get we watching something that’s been dramatized for entertainment, but be so forreal! Imagine being physically tormented & tortured, and never getting justice, of course you’re gonna do what you can to get back at the people who did that to you. And on top of all of that, the people that literally ruined her life, were still shit people after they became adults. She give all of them hella opportunities to “repent” and be empathetic towards her, and none of them took it. Moon can’t literally ruin these folks lives because in a society like Korea, people with that much, power, influence, and money NEVER receive consequences for their wrongdoings. If Yeon-Jin loses her job…guess what? Her family is wealthy enough, she wouldn’t have to work a real job to be comfortable. Moon however wasn’t born with that type of luxury & was aware she wouldn’t have been able to get justice any other type of way. Lastly, throughout y’all’s entire reaction passed the 1st episode, Rob been rooting for the bullies. Rob gives bully-vibes and it’s obvious he relates to the bullies & could see himself being the “recipient” of someone’s wrath, & that’s why he going so hard. Good reaction nonetheless!
Well said....he didnt and doesnt think about how Moon suffered. She is getting her justice, not revenge coz she only instigates their actions, and they themselves ruin things coz of their shitty(excuse my language) personalities. They bullied more people than they can count. I dnt see how they should get sympathy from him when they killed people, well one killed people.

And yeah this drama definitely has opened up a lot of discussions, especially if you’re aware about how bullying and distinctions between upper & lower class works in Korea. It’s just a first to see a reactor not side with Moon, especially after seeing what she’s gone through
He always roots for whatever is negative. He just seems to have a negative disturbed spirit. I think most people just ignore him as much as possible when they watch their reactions. Most of the time I really don’t even notice what he’s saying bc I tune it out

They are wrong for yelling at the one guy that’s truly understands that Moon is not taking a L it was more of a rock in the roadway. Like she did not fail because in my opinion taking a L meaning you have lost out and failed. She just lost her job but can easily figure out how to get another one. There is no “you’re just as bad as them” for Moon when she never got to live past her highschool years, she had to snap mentally just to live. Jae-jun never worked on his anger issues that's why he got caught doing that. I am not upset about him fighting the pedophile but let's not pretend that if Ye-sol was in a car with him he could and would have another road rage incident just like he had traveling to her school. She needs to know that he is unstable.

I absolutely can't understand why y'all would think that the husband should be worried about Ye-Sol's(the daughters) safety when it comes to Moon. She's been her teacher longer than she's been playing the husband in Go. If she really wanted to hurt her she could have and there's nothing he would be able to do about it. The fact that he has still met up with Moon on several occasions and even after finally knowing the truth, he wasn't worried about Ye-Sol. Moon's many things but she's never been unfair, dishonest or lied about her intentions.

You guys realize there’s a hierarchy among the 5 bullies, right? Myeongoh was at the bottom with Hyejeong (the flight attendant) They were both bullies but not as rich as the other 3. They took orders from them but would also cling to them for power. The other bullies make jokes at their expense, but they’re still part of the group and invited to things. Next is Sa-ra, who’s rich (her family owns the super big church and are very influential) but she’s on dr*gs most of the time. She was also an active bully as well. She’s also a “painter” but most of her art isn’t even done by her. Jaejun is rich as well (his family owns a golf course thing that he inherited) he’s also very violent and has obvious anger issues and a “complex” about being red-green colorblind. Youngjin is at the top, but more or less on the same level as the other 2 rich ones. (Meaning if they don’t want to help her, there’s not much she can do. And it’d be a problem if they turned against her) but she’s definitely cruel and never stopped being a bully. She’s a weather caster but doesn’t even write her own scripts. The only people she seemingly cares about are her mother, her daughter, and her husband.(she mentions that she recently realized that she actually loved him.) Moon dealing a blow to Sa-ra is a huge move in the grand scheme of things.
You're all arguing over misinformation. You need to be reading every single caption and not talking half the time. She said from the get go...after all of those years, she checked if any of these people had changed since they were in high school. Once she realized that none of them had, she felt justified in seeing her revenge through. In her mind, she is doing society a favour and she is getting revenge not only for herself but for Sohee as well. You have to remember, Not just Dongeun, not just Sohee but there is also another person that was a victim in high school. She is basically a "superhero" of sorts. It also speaks about the current social and justice system in South Korea. The rich and powerful often get away with things---the Gangnam trash, the nouveau riche; they have money and power but very little home education (lack of morals, principals, etc). It is also the rich and the powerful who cry foul the loudest about how they are the victims. This story is written as a release for those who have been real victims in the past. In South Korea, things are not always black and white. It's not always the poor that are the victims, it is not always the rich who are the evil doers. In contemporary Korea, rich or poor, you have to watch out for the ones who talk a good talk, act innocent, act too good to be true; they're the real satans to watch out for.
Well, in Moon's defense, she did give YJ a chance to repent but YJ totally denied & STILL denied everything she did to Moon. That's Moon proceeded to accomplish her goal.

This show is literally about revenge and you expect her to move on???? Like what the heck? Have you not seen what they did to her? Those bullies deserve all of that karma coming up for them. I don’t understand how you CANT be on Moon’s side. One thing about this show is that they show that the bullies never changed, or “became better people”. They stayed bullies even as adults. Also there are plenty of flashbacks so you never forget how awful they really were. You realize Moon isn’t the only person they bullied, she wasn’t the first and the second she dropped out of school they found another girl to bully. Although revenge isn’t seen as “good”- before starting her full out revenge Moon even says she had a toast to Youngjin’s baby and her eventual corruption (or something along the lines of that) or when she first shows the doctor the scars on her arm, he tries to tell her no to go through with the revenge. But she explains that she has “nothing left” and then shows him just how badly she was left scared. (To which he then agrees to help her). Not only that but the only person who knows exactly what she went through (her old school nurse) is 1000% on her side the second she finds out she’s trying to get revenge. And Youngjin might be the “leader” of the bullies, but they’re all awful. They’ve never face consequences and, like Moon said, if someone so awful is living so happily- why shouldn’t she?

They already addressed the whole “forgiveness” “moving on” part and he’s still stuck on it and goes extra hard to defend when the bullies lose. Dude is a weirdo af.

Rob is so freaking annoying.
Rob really do got the wildest takes.. His opinions are always so surface-level and the moment he takes a liking to a character, no matter how bad they are, he goes "ride or die". Which isn't a problem on its own but it's strange how he tries to put down the actions of other characters to make his favorite the "better" character, ESPECIALLY when his favorite is objectively wrong in many ways.
You're allowed to like villains. I have characters I like who are also just as unforgivingly evil. But in this series, his takes on Dongeun's plans and consequence are always trying to make her out to be just as corrupt as Yeonjin. As if to be like "if my favorite is so bad, then the protagonist everyone likes is also just as bad for doing all this". Notice the few times he comments tend to be when it's either Yeonjin is doing something that isn't evil or when Dongeun did something that can be argued as wrong.
Literally not the only time I've seen Rob act like this.. Supporting Yeonjin despite EVERYTHING she did, cheering her on despite her literally putting down actual good people... Idk about that. And all because he thought she was really hot.
Again, you can like a character for being evil. But why you trying to make her out to be the "lesser of 2 evils"? What she does is literally what makes her Yeonjin.

Is there a more healthier way to cope with the pain Moon had? Yes. But she chose the revenge that would hold the perpetrators accountable.
Moon is the only one who knows exactly how much the pain is.

No Rob. Dong Eun is not "just as bad as they are." Yes, she is pursing revenge against them which is ideally not morally right, but she is doing so in a very classy and I would argue much more merciful way than these demons deserve. She could have very easily done what they did to her, right back to them. It would have been so easy for Dong eun to play dirty and just kidnap or hurt Ye sol right off the bat. But she's not like that, because she has a heart and does not hurt innocent people, because she was once an innocent person who was unfairly hurt. That's the difference between her and them. She has empathy, they do not. She even gave Yeonjin a second chance BECAUSE of her husband, but she is so unremorseful and full of herself that she threw that chance away. She's not even aiming to kill most of them, just to significantly harm their lives and everything they've built, which is again, much more merciful than what they deserve. Yes, she's hurting Do yeong and Ye sol in the process because they are apart of Yeonjin's dream, but I would argue that she's doing them more of a favor in the long run because she showed them how truly horrible Yeonjin is and has saved that poor child from being raised by a narcissistic sociopath.
