Joe Rogan is a famous comedian?? It's funny to hear someone who has been so successful in other areas, but he clearly wishes he were a great comedian, and that will never be his medium.
I think it's almost the natural state of an entertainer to feel the way they do in describing their self-confidence issues. Their continued existence and ability to remain relevant and produce in their profession of choice depends on finding accepting audiences. I work in IT. To remain relevant and produce in my field of choice depends on maybe some concentrated study time or retraining in different technologies and then applying those new skills. I think the veteran entertainers have learned mechanisms to cope with those fears that just come with time and practice.
