  • In this video, we will learn all about Verb vs Verb Phrase vs Phrasal Verb.
    What is a Verb?
    A verb describes an action or state of being of the Subject.
    There are two types of Verbs: Main Verb and Auxiliary verb.
    Auxiliary Verbs are further divided into two parts:
    1. Main Auxiliary
    2. Modal Verbs
    Main Auxiliary includes three main forms of Auxiliary verb. 'To be', 'To have' and 'To do' forms
    Modal verbs includes can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must
    What is Verb Phrase?
    A verb phrase is a group of words that includes a main verb and one or more helping verbs.
    What is Phrasal Verb?
    A Phrasal Verb is a group of words containing a verb and an adverb or a preposition or both of them.
    Exercise:
    They were playing soccer.
    He will go to watch the movie.
    She is coming to participate in the program tomorrow.
    Answers:
    1. 'playing' - Main verb, 'were playing' - As a Verb Phrase.
    2. 'go' - Main Verb, 'will go' - As a Verb Phrase.
    3. 'coming' - Main Verb, 'is coming' - As a Verb Phrase.
