For sure my favorite is the A2A, I think you told the right thing: it flies like xp in msfs… the way you need rudder in climb, the way it crabs in landing and the turbolence feeling in vr are awesome
My favourites are the Alouette III if you really want to fly helicopters without fancy stabilisation and ofcourse the A2A Comanche.
I agree with you on these planes Steve! I Love the A2A Comanche, and 414, 310 and all of justflights PA28's.
I should of bought the A2A Comanche 4 you as wel and not only the Flysimware C414 that was in my eyes best ga plane till A2A's came out. Happy my gift made your top GA addon list. You deserve it all because you produce so much stellar content that I can't keep up myself. I haven't produced any lately because my current GPU is just too damn weak being a AMD RDNA1 from 2019! and can't afford current GPU prices GPU's but normally I'll get the RDNA3 RX 7800 XT one next month hopefully if nothing gets too expensive in life. Have a great weekn month of year come on :-) So much more simming to do with MSFS2024 and so many other addons. I'm ran out of SSD storage space with all my addons being 3.3TB big (just checked). We need to offload this to the cloud somehow :-) Thanks 4 the mention my friend.
Your timing could not have been better when you bought me that gift buddy, I was going through a very tough time as you know, I'll never forget it. I truly hope soon, you'll be able to upgrade your sim rig to the next gen. But what you have now still rocks and isn't so far behind. Stay well and let's fly together real soon.
The Comanche to me is the best aircraft period. The way it gets bullied by the wind sometimes, all the sounds, startup, and maintenance, are all something no other aircraft has in msfs. I do my best to change it up and fly different aircraft but I always come back to this one because it truly gives the best sense of flight out of any aircraft in the sim.
Audio from the plane is wonderful ! Engine/prop sound just like a real aircraft.
Pssst! Re: the A2A Comanche "wing flaps" - those aren't the flaps, they're ailerons. The flaps are inboard from the ailerons.

Soft field landing. Definitely try to keep the nose up as long as possible after touchdown.
Love the VisionJet G2. Not in the same genre, if you will, as these prop aircraft, but a favorite nonetheless. My favorite glass cockpit aircraft.

Thanks for this top 5 Steve! The Hotstart TBM in X-Plane is only beaten as greatest aircraft add-on ever by… the Hotstart Challenger 605. It requires a bigger commitment however, so I understand it is not everyone’s cup of tea. But, I never had a greater sense of presence in VR than in that plane. It just feels so real, and you truly like the hot shot captain in command!
Can’t wait to try the A2A Comanche, I loved it in P3D!

Totally agree. Amazing that the Kodiak doesn't even make the top 5 any more. Just goes to show how the selection of quality offerings has grown lately. If A2A could bring their level of excellence to something a bit more modern that would be VERY welcome as well!

Thanks for those Steve 👍. Did you know that Guy Ritchie has bought Compton Abbas airfield? The cafe/ restaurant has been revamped apparently and he is keen to promote the whole ambience that is Compton Abbas. There was a concern that as he lives about a mile away that he may have wanted to close it but luckily not. Must admit it’s a few years ago that I last flew in there from Watchford Farm strip in Devon where I was based for a long while. Living in NZ now though between Nelson Airport and Motueka airfield. So keen to get the comanche, was set to get it for my birthday recently, but managed to get the cash for a quest 2 instead, so I'm now officially a goggle monkey !! The comanche is next on the list though!!

for A2A comanche, on their website it says: "VR specific touch controllers are not supported." What does that mean?
